It was a chilly evening in New York City, and Y/N found themselves bedridden with a nasty cold. Coughs wracked their body, and tiredness weighed heavily on their shoulders. Miles Morales, the amazing Spider-Man himself, swung into action as soon as he learned of Y/N's condition. With a gentle knock on the door, Miles entered Y/N's apartment, clad in his sleek black and red Spider-Man suit. The worried look on his face melted into a warm smile as he saw Y/N lying in bed, bundled up in blankets.
"Hey, Y/N," Miles greeted softly, removing his mask and tucking it under his arm. "I heard you're not feeling well. How are you holding up?"
Y/N weakly managed a smile, appreciating Miles's concern.
"I'm hanging in there, Miles. Just feeling pretty lousy." Without hesitation, Miles approached Y/N's bedside, perching himself on the edge. He reached out and brushed a hand gently across their forehead, checking for fever. His touch was soothing, and Y/N felt a wave of comfort wash over them.
"You're definitely running a fever," Miles confirmed. "Don't worry, though. I'm here to take care of you."
True to his word, Miles sprang into action, retrieving a glass of water and some cold medicine from Y/N's kitchen. He carefully measured the dosage, then handed Y/N the glass, watching attentively as they took their medicine.
"I appreciate this, Miles," Y/N said, their voice filled with gratitude. "But aren't you busy with your superhero duties?"
Miles chuckled softly, his eyes shining with sincerity.
"Taking care of the people I care about is just as important as stopping criminals, Y/N. Plus, I can't leave you alone when you're feeling like this."
Over the next few days, Miles remained by Y/N's side, playing the role of the caring hero and doting friend. He prepared bowls of warm soup, fluffed their pillows, and entertained them with stories from his adventures. He even brought his portable gaming console, so they could pass the time together. As Y/N's condition gradually improved, Miles continued to watch over them, offering support and comfort. His presence alone was a source of strength, and Y/N felt lucky to have such a compassionate and kind-hearted friend.
"I think I'm finally on the mend," Y/N declared one sunny afternoon, sitting up in bed. "Thanks to you, Miles."
Miles smiled brightly, his warm brown eyes reflecting genuine joy. "I'm glad to hear that, Y/N. Just remember, even when you're feeling better, I'm always here for you."
With a final embrace, Y/N bid farewell to their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, feeling grateful for his unwavering care and friendship. Miles swung away into the New York skyline, leaving Y/N with a newfound appreciation for the hero beneath the mask. In Miles Morales, they had found not just a protector of the city, but also a compassionate soul who knew the importance of being there for others—especially when they needed it the most.
