Kunikida was overthinking again.

He didn't know Dazai that well.

And yet he trusted him with his kids.

There was something about this man that fascinated him.

That kept him on staring.

That was definitily not fascination now that he thought about it.

Kunikida was dressing up for his conference, nervous. It was childish and illogic but.. Kunikida couldn't stand with being too much people.

Everyone staring at him.

The crowd slowly consumming him.

Kunikida shudders and pushed that thought away as he made sure everything was perfect.

He got out of the the room, walking to the living room, near the door.

-Aya, your inhaler's on your nightstand, dinner is already done you just have to warm it up again. Rokuzou, I already checked and corrected your homework, and, finally, Dazai... If anything goes wrong...

He smiles softly at him.

-...You have my number.

-Aye, aye, captain! Exclamed Dazai.

Kunikida's smile got a bit wider and he left.

When Dazai turned to see the two kids who were found glaring at him, arms crossed.

-So... You wanna date our father, ey? stated Aya.

Dazai smirked

-And so what if I do?

-Then we won't let you! He's our dad!

-So?

-'So' BACK OFF!! Yelled Rokuzou

The whole evening was just the kids yelling at Dazai and Dazai not giving a single shit about their comments.

He was a terrible babysitter.

He ended up taking them to sleep (by paying them).

Dazai wasn't perticularly tired but thought it wouldn't hurt to sleep a bit while waiting for Kunikida to come back so he layed on the couch while waiting for him.

Kunikida came back some time later, really tired, his social batteries were at it's lowest.

He notices Dazai sleeping. He sighs. He couldn't just let him stay this way.

He picks him up and carries him to his bed. Kunikida will just have to sleep on the couch.

(A/N) Nah, man, just sleep beside him, wtf? 💀

Dazai slowly woke up and noticed Kunikida on top of him, placing him on the bed.

-Kunikida...?

-Oh, hello, Dazai. Thank you for taking care of them while I was away.

-Ah, that was nothing, really...

A long silence had installed between the two of them until Kunikida finnaly spoke up

-Are you tired?

-No.

-Me neither. Want to go out for a walk?

A walk?

At night?

Dazai had to blink twice at that.

Does Kunikida knows how intimate and romantic that was..? Or is he just that  oblivious?

-Sure.

-There's a beach right next to the building, we can have a nice walk in the sand. It's really refreshing, trust me.

Dazai didn't put his coat on, it was a summer night, but still with a gentle and welcomed breeze.

They both walked to the beach, the sound of the waves soothed Kunikida after this stressful day, and Dazai walking next to him, not saying a word and just looking at the ocean was a sight to behold.

Kunikida found himself blushing.

They both sat on the sand, looking at the moon silently.

Dazai nervously grabbed a handful of sand to then gently release it.

Kunikida just looked at the horizon, not saying anything.

The night was beautiful.

And the moonlight reflected on Kunikida's face was also beautiful.

Dazai knew damn well he had feelings for Kunikida.

But tonight... It seems that they've increased even more, somehow.

Maybe he was just getting tired.

At some point, neither of them knew how and why, but they ended up facing each other, gazing at each other's eyes.

Dazai unconsciously moved closer and Kunikida didn't seem to object.

Kunikida, on his side happened to have catches feelings for Dazai the very moment he saw Dazai in front of his school.

And the teacher still couldn't understand how and why he catched feelings in this very moment.

Maybe it was Dazai being embarrassed that was utterly adorable for him?

Maybe it was the relief of all those ideals melting away by understanding that Dazai could change his ideal?

He didn't know.

But God..

Did Dazai look beautiful leaning in with the moonlight's reflection on his face.

The blond man also found himself leaning in and.. just like that, their lips met for a delicate and sweet kiss.
