The Long Boat Trip

Day 3

Frida found Agnetha sitting out on deck, and she heard a sob. "What's wrong honey...?" she asked and went to Agnetha to give her a tight hug. Frida saw how a little tear leaved Agnetha's right eye.
"I just think about the fact if we don't get home... What will happen then? Will we die here and never meet Linda again?"
"Aggie, darling. Of course we will be rescued soon..." Frida said with a convincing and calm voice. "We're at sea, and there are boats out at sea."
"Yeah, but have you seen any? And we're really far out..." Agnetha said quiet.
"Take it easy now. When this day is over it has gone just one day more than planned. And we have food and water so we can manage it."
"Yeah..."
Frida stroked away a tear from Agnetha's face with the back of her hand and smiled against her. Agnetha smiled back.
"Okay you're right... We can do this!"
"And we have Benny and Björn too you know."
"As if that makes me calm down!" Agnetha exclaimed and both started to laugh.
"We heard that!" the girls heard how Björn shouted from the cabin. "Isn't it time to keep your thoughts out of our conversations?!"
"No! We're part of this too!" Benny said with a funny wounded voice and he and Björn started to laugh. Frida just sighed and gave Agnetha the special look the used to give each other. Agnetha gave the look back before they burst into a loud laugh.

After breakfast Frida and Agnetha decided to swim. "I promise to learn you swim" Frida said and took of the sweater. Under she wore her green bikini.
"Green? I thought you had your white and  red striped with you" Agnetha said as she put on her own black bikini. "I have both!" Frida said and showed a over-happy smile. Like five-year-old girls use to show when they're really proud of something. Then she jumped into the water with a scream. Agnetha laughed. "Try to jump longer this time" Frida said. "I'll catch you."
"Iihh..." A weird sound leaved Agnetha's mouth before she closed her eyes hard, and then jumped as far as she could. "Nice!" Frida shouted and she cathed her as fast as she went up to get air again. Agnetha smiled. "God, I feel like a little kid! I get to learn how to swim, and I become so proud when I do it right..."
Frida held Agnetha's arm so she didn't sink. Frida smiled. "Yeah, you are sometimes like a little kid. A little kid who have to be taken care of and loved..."
Agnetha gave Frida a smile. "Then you are my big sister! But I just wanna say. You're quite childish too sometimes!"
"Yeah, I know! But you aren't childish Aggie. It just feels like you have to have someone around you all the time who's wathing over you. That you feel safe then... Am I right?" Agnetha got quiet and blushed a little. "I think that's true, when I think of it. I'm just a weak potato!"
"You aren't weak. You just have to be loved and cared about much. That's it. And Björn, Benny and I will show you the love you need..."
"Aw...!" Agnetha exclaimed before she gave Frida a tight hug and had to do everything to keep back the tears.
"Aw, so sweet..." Benny said up from the boat hanging on the gunwale. "God, this is impossible!" Frida screamed. "Stop stalking us! Sometimes we women need some time without you guys!" Agnetha said. Benny laughed and jumped in the water with a big splash.

Benny came to Björn, Frida and Agnetha who were lying in the sunbeds and let the warm sun shine on their bodies.
"Guys, we have to talk about the food and  the water. I mean, if we have to be here for a longer time."
All three woke up, and Frida took off her sunglasses. And so did Agnetha.
"Water, check" Frida said and nodded against the blue sea. Benny sighed.
"Very funny..." Björn and Agnetha giggled.
"Anyway, we have to organize the food, and the water to drink... Frida! If we be here for a while... Frida and I brought food for three days to us two. How about you?"
"Same" Björn said. "And we have two big dunks with water" Agnetha said. "And we have three" Frida said.

After some checking, talking and organizing they finally made up a plan with the food. The water too as well. It would be enough food for six days, and the water would suffice for maybe a week or two. If everyone didn't drink water the way Frida and Benny drank champange...

The sun began to be a little more orange and was on its way down. Björn, Benny, Frida and Agnetha were sitting on the deck and sang together. Björn played the guitar and everyone sang. Right now they sang a calm acoustic version of Waterloo.

"Nice! What should we take now?" Frida wondered. "Another Town, Another Train?" Björn wondered, and without the others answers he started to play the calm melody of the soft song and everybody started to sing. Even Benny sang for once!

" Day is dawning and I must go, you're asleep but still I'm sure you'll know.
Why it had to end this way You and I had a groovy time. But I told you somewhere down the line, you would have to find me gone. I just have to move along.

Just another town, another train.
Waiting in the morning rain. Lord give my restless soul a little patience. Just another town, another train. Nothing lost and nothing gained. Guess I will spend my life in railway stations. Guess I will spend my life in railway stations...'

When you wake I know you'll cry, and the words I wrote to say goodbye. They won't comfort you at all. But in time you will understand, that the dreams we dreamed were made of sand. For a no-good bum like me, to live is to be free.

"God... I wish there was a train from here..." Frida joked and everyone laughed. "You know what?" Benny wondered. "No" everyone answered. "I love you guys. I mean a lot. I don't know what I would do without you three.. "
"Aw, you're so sweet Benny! I love you too" Agnetha said. "Love you man" Björn said, and he had to say "man" to get it more "manly" of course. "You're the best" Frida said and gave him a passionat kiss. "Frida" Björn said. "Hm?"
"I'm here you know... I thought I was the best!" Frida, Agnetha and Benny laughed. "Yeah, Björn. You're the best too. You're all the best... Forever together?"
"Always" Agnetha said. "Always" Björn said. "Always" Benny said.
