You noticed Alessia's discomfort instantly. You assumed that Leah probably wasn't invited and only decided to turn up when she found out that you would be there.
"Nice to meet you girls. I'll be out here building this, you guys have a great evening." You smile at them all and turn back to your tools.
"Less, don't be rude, get the woman a drink if she's building all this for you." You heard Leah shout loudly.
You looked to you left to see a slightly angry looking Alessia ready to bite back before you pick your beer up and waggle it at Leah.
"She's already got me one, she's been like my personal barmaid all day." You smile and turn back to your work, noticing Alessia's slightly smug smile causing you to smile also.

Ella and Mary came and sat next to you asking you about your job and your life in general. They were both really nice and you enjoyed chatting to them. Mary excused herself leaving you with just Ella.
"You know she likes you don't you?" Ella said.
"Yeah, Lessi told me, she's just not really my type. I don't want to date for the sake of dating you know." Ella raised an eyebrow at you looking confused.
"Less told you? I didn't think she had the balls to do that." You shrug at Ella's response.
"I guess she was trying to be nice by trying to set me up with one of her teammates." Ella started laughing instantly and you were incredibly confused.
"No, Y/N. I think you've got your wires crossed. Lessi likes you." Ella managed to get out in a whisper.
You freeze on the spot and steal a glance at the blonde who was stood with Mary, Leah and Millie but already had her eyes locked on you. She looked away nervously taking a sip of her drink. You look back down and smile.
"You're pulling my leg. Girls like that aren't interested in girls like me." You shake your head, you wanted what Ella said to be true so badly but you knew it couldn't be true. She was everything you could want in a person and a woman like that would never take a second look at you.
"I'm being dead serious Y/N. I already knew half the stuff you were telling me and Mary because all she's been talking about at training recently is you." You slide on parts of the grill and pause to lean on the barbecue.
"Seriously?" Your brain couldn't quite compute what Ella was telling you and your heart was beating double time.
"Yes, she really likes you and I think you're really nice. Just please, she's my best friend, don't mess her around. She needs someone who really cares about her." Ella pleads. You bite your lip to try and hide a smile.
"I do care about her, I'd do anything for her." Ella's expression turns from slightly stern to soft and smiles at you.
"Good, ask her on a date. I don't want another day of training listening to her swoon over you and questioning if you like her or not." She pats you on the arm and walks back over to the other girls who are stood laughing and joking together. It seemed so wholesome to you, even as an outsider.

You finish your beer and head to the toilet, running your hand across Alessia's back on the way past, exchanging smiles.
As you reach the toilet Leah comes stumbling out slightly still doing her jeans up.
"Here she is. How you doing?" She leans her arm against the wall blocking you from getting through.
"I'm good thanks Leah. Just heading to the toilet." You try to duck under her arm but she blocks your exit with her body.
"Woah, not so fast." You let out a sigh and step back from her. She was slightly drunk and visibly swaying.
"What is it?" You say bluntly.
"Don't be like that Y/N. Why are you pining after Alessia when you can have me?" Her question took you aback so much that all you could do was stutter.
"Come on, she's never been with a woman, she doesn't even know what she's doing. I'm experienced, I'll show you a real good time." You back up further as she starts to come towards you.
"Leah. I'm not interested. Number one, you're really not my type and number two I'm seeing someone." You say with your hands up as though you're surrendering.
"You told me you were single." You whip round to the voice in the doorway. Alessia is stood there, her eyes glazing over with tears, her whole facial expression dropped.
"I am, Less, she- Less - wait-" you called after her desperately as she sprinted back into the garden. You growl under your breath and shove past Leah who was now stood smirking.
"Just think about it yeah?" She calls after you as you lock the bathroom door behind you.
You use the toilet and stand in front of the mirror gripping tightly onto the edge of the sink. You had to go and find Alessia and tell her that you were just trying to getting away from Leah. You take a deep breath and walk back out into the garden. You find Ella but you couldn't see Alessia.
"Ella where is she?" Your heartbeat starts to accelerate.
"What did you tell her you're single if you're not? I thought you were telling her you liked her?" Ella throws her arms in the air.
"I am single, Leah wouldn't take no for an answer so I was just trying to get her to back off of me." You say, frustrated.
"Oh. That makes sense now. I think she's gone upstairs to her bedroom. Tell her Y/N." You nod and run back into the house. As you reached the top floor you saw the blonde stood with her back to you sniffling into a tissue.
You quietly knock on the door.
"Less?" You slowly approach her.
"Leave me alone." She whimpers quietly.
"No, talk to me." You furrow your eyebrows.
"Why should I?" Alessia says with her back still turned towards you.
"Because you misunderstood what happened down there Lessi." She didn't respond for a moment and you could see her shaking her head. You take a deep breath.
"Less, I really like you."
