Cat Grant was currently hard at work at Catco, even though the rest of her staff, including her assistant, had already left, when she heard someone on her balcony and she turned to see National City's new mysterious heroine standing there.

"I was wondering when I'd be seeing you." Cat said.

"I wanted to set the record straight on my own terms and you're the only reporter I trust to convey my story honestly." Supergirl said.

"I see you're already as smart as you no doubt are strong." Cat said.

"But first, there is one thing that's not negotiable." Supergirl said.

"And that would be?" Cat asked, a bit annoyed.

"My name. It's Supergirl." Supergirl said and Cat smiled.

"I can live with that. Now, where do we begin?" Cat asked.

"Well, let's start with the basics. As I'm sure you can guess by my powers and the symbol on my chest that, like Superman, I'm from the planet Krypton." Supergirl said.

"Obviously. What is your connection to Superman?" Cat asked.

"He's my cousin. Our fathers were brothers. I was actually born before Superman was." Supergirl said.

"Then why does he look so much older?" Cat asked.

"I was originally supposed to be sent to Earth to protect him, but when we left, my pod was damaged by debris when our planet exploded. It sent my pod into a region of space called the Phantom Zone where time doesn't exist. While my cousin grew up here on Earth, I drifted in space for years, never aging. It wasn't until some random chance that my pod managed to get loose and make its way to Earth." Supergirl said.

"Why keep yourself hidden until now?" Cat asked.

"Because until recently, I did not think that the world needed me when it already had my cousin. But now I've come to realize that the world can always use more heroes, more people to inspire hope." Supergirl said, this interview is going much better than the last time she'd had it.

"Do you have any ideas about the identity of the man who attacked Lena Luthor?" Cat asked.

"All I know is that he was hired by her brother, who didn't like what she was doing with his company." Supergirl said as she answered a few more questions before she could tell that Cat was satisfied and then flew off.

Supergirl was currently flying around National City, doing a little patrol before turning in for the night when she heard the sound of some kind of spacecraft entering the planet's atmosphere.

"J'onn, are you seeing this object entering Earth's atmosphere?" Supergirl asked over the comms.

"Yes, it looks like it's some kind of small pod." J'onn said.

"I'm going to intercept it." Supergirl said.

"What if it's Mon-El?" J'onn asked.

"Then that will complicate things." Supergirl said under her breath as she approached the ship and saw that it was indeed a kryptonian pod landing.

"It is a kryptonian pod. I'm gonna redirect it so it doesn't hurt anyone." Supergirl said.

"Copy that, let me know if you need any help." J'onn said.

"Will do." Supergirl said as she caught the pod and found that it was much lighter than the pod carrying Mon-El had been, making her wonder who was in it as she took the pod to the outskirts of the city, since she didn't want to reveal a potentially dangerous creature to the public as she landed the pod on the ground and walked around to open the pod, taking a deep breath before she ripped the top of the pod off and was shocked by what she saw.

"Oh my god." Supergirl said.

"Supergirl, what is it?" J'onn asked, but before Supergirl could respond, she was knocked to the ground by a white blur that began licking her and she smiled.

"Krypto, is that you boy?" Supergirl giggled as she looked up at the pure white puppy that was on top of her while she tried to calm the dog down, right as J'onn landed next to her.

"A dog?" J'onn asked.

"J'onn, this is my dog Krypto." Kara said as she rubbed the dog's head happily.

"Wait, your dog?" J'onn asked, since this was news to him.

"Another change from Crisis. Krypton did have a few pets like Earth, including dogs. Krypto here was my pet puppy." Kara said happily as she kissed her dog's snout, who responded by giving her more happy kisses.

"How did he end up in a pod?" J'onn asked.

"My dad wanted to use him as a test subject for one of his prototype escape pods and despite my protests, he went through with it. Then the pod malfunctioned and I thought that Krypto was gone for good. I was so angry at my dad that I told him I wished he had been in the pod instead of Krypto." Kara said as Krypto finally let her get to her feet.

"But like you, he survived in his pod which eventually made its way here." J'onn said with a smile.

"Yeah. I never dreamed I'd see him again, but now that I do, I'm not losing him again. I just hope that Lena's a dog person." Kara said and J'onn chuckled.

"So, you two are officially going out?" J'onn asked.

"We are and you need to find M'gann. She was good for you." Kara said and J'onn chuckled.

"I'll keep that in mind. But you should bring him back to the Tower so Brainy and I can run some tests on him to make sure that there weren't any ill effects from his time in space and you should call Clark. I think he'll be very interested to hear about this." J'onn said and Kara nodded as she picked her puppy up.

"Come on Krypto." Kara said happily and she was very glad that her apartment building allowed dogs, since there was no way she was going to be separated from her beloved childhood pet again. Which reminded her, another change from Crisis meant that her father was still alive, she'd need to apologize to him for how she'd treated him after he'd lost Krypto.

Full disclosure, the idea of Krypto being Kara's pet is not mine. It belongs to CharmedMilliE- Karry Master in their story Karry Universe. I loved it so much I wanted to use it and they said that I can use the idea as long as I give them proper credit, which is what I'm doing. I hope you guys like it.
