Chapter 4

Third person p.o.v

Yui rushes forward as she plans to strike the possessed student with her normal katana. However, he senses it and blocks the attack, leaving her wide open. Before he could swing the axe down on her, a chain wraps itself around the axe, pulling it back. The student looks behind him to see Y/n holding the chain and he points a gun at him. Y/n fires the gun but he dodges the bullet and charges forward.

Y/n rolls out of the way from the strike as he kicks the student back. He quickly gets up as Yui rushes onto the downed student, who only responded by catching the blade. Yui was surprise as she was kicked away as Y/n caught her

Y/n: You okay?

Yui: Y-Yeah

The two looked back as they saw that he threw her weapon away. He gets up as he grabs the axe. Y/n gets infront of Yui, although the situation is dangerous Yui still blushes as Y/n didn't notice her. 

Y/n: Come at me

Y/n said as the possessed student came rushing at Y/n axe in hand as Y/n shoots at him. Each bullets either was blocked or missed. Y/n watches as he uses his chain to hit him. Each chain connects to his arm and leg, injuring him but not stopping him. The student then jumps in the air as Y/n rolls out of the way and wraps his chain around the leg, making him fall. Y/n points his gun at him one last time but when he pulled the trigger, the gun was empty. Y/n didn't have time to react as the possessed student got up and rushes at Y/n, catching him off guard. Before the axe hits Y/n, a katana appeared and blocked the attack

Yui manages to sneak off and grab her weapon in time to save Y/n. She smirks as she pushes him back

Yui: Back off!

Y/n chains the student up before he could recover.

Y/n: Gotcha now

Y/n sighs briefly as he watches the student stop moving. He turns to Yui as he watches her hold the cursed weapon. This made Y/n's eyes wide as he lets go of the possessed student and rushes over to Yui. Right as she fell down, Y/n catches her

Y/n: Yui?! Come on! Wake up!

Shinoa: Its no use

Shinoa said as she walks up to the two, followed by Yoichi. Y/n looks up at Shinoa with a confused and worried look

Y/n: What do you mean?

Shinoa: Without a contract spell, she will be trapped in an illusion that is impossible to get out of

Y/n looks at her. Despite all the information given, he didn't feel as worried as before

Yui: .... Y/n.... Please....

Y/n looks at Yui who was talking while still unconscious

Yui: Don't..... Leave me.....

This made Y/n hold her hand. He smiled softly as he thought it would be the last time he will see her again...

Only for her to wake up and slowly sit up.

Yui: Huh? What happened?

Yoichi, Shinoa and Y/n looks shocked as Shinoa quickly explained to Yui what she told Y/n earlier. 

Yui: So does this mean the weapon is mine?

Shinoa: Unfortunately no. Its procedures are more complicated. Guren will be the one to decide which weapon would suit you best, so just be patient

Yui: Ah man.... But atleast we kicked so demon a [BUTT], right Y/n?!

Yui turns to Y/n as she finally noticed his expression. Yui was confused as she looks at Y/n

Yui: Hey... Y/n-

Before she could finish, Y/n hugged her. He had a small smile on his face as a small tear falls off his eyes

Y/n: You complete idiot.... Don't do that again

Y/n said as he sighs with content while Yui blushes madly. Shinoa watches with a smirk but she felt a little pain in her heart. Meanwhile Yoichi smiles as he was happy that the two of them are safe

(Scene changes)

Ferid: Mika... Oh Mika~

The vampire who almost killed the family of Y/n and Yui was walking towards a blonde haired girl who was also with another girl. The two were having a talk before going quiet as they listen to the one who almost killed them

Ferid: I thought I would find you here. Oh and Lily too?~ Well thats good! I have some news about the two filthy humans that have escaped that you two hold so dearly

After the word "filthy" Mika drew her sword and pointed at Ferid's neck. Meanwhile a teddy bear that has a blade for hands was behind Ferid

Ferid: Who was it again? Oh right! Yui and Y/n. Isn't that right? I wonder

Ferid asked himself as he smirks at the two girls who were glaring at him

Ferid: How would you four act when you cross paths~

(Scene change again)

Y/n was walking with Yui back to their apartment. However, this time. It seems to be more awkward then usual

It was never awkward when they had their walks together but this time... it was different. Yui was blushing madly while Y/n had a small blush on his face. As they when up their door, the two stopped

Yui: Um... Y/n?

Y/n: Yeah?

Yui: ... Thanks... for having my back....

Y/n: Yeah... no problem

When Y/n fished for the keys inside his pocket, he saw from the corner of his eyes movement. Yui hugged Y/n and pushes him against the door, surprising him

Y/n: Y-Yui?

Yui: I am serious... You were always there for me

Y/n watches her as she covers her face on his chest. His chest was wet as he can hear sniffing sounds coming from Yui

Yui: That illusion... It almost broke me....

Y/n looks at her with a sadden expression, he hugs her back as Yui gasped a bit

Y/n: Its okay Yui.... I am here

Yui cried a little harder as she was hugging Y/n tightly, as if not wanting to let go. Y/n watches her as he recalls as to what Shinoa said

"She will be trapped in an illusion that is impossible to get out of"

Y/n also then tears up at the idea of almost losing Yui, the only family she has left. However, his heart seems to fluttered. He understands it better.... He is slowly falling for Yui and at the moment of almost losing her, it has opened his eyes

He sticks with her just to make sure she is okay

He stayed with her, not wanting to lose another loved one

He lives with her so she can eat proper meals

He is with her... Because he loves her

It made Y/n realize how much change can happen. Even if he lost everything, he wants to make sure that Yui will still stay

He could have left her. Abandon her or even never talked to her after escaping the vampires.... and yet he didn't. Y/n has a crush on Yui that even he doesn't know about until now

He snaps back into reality and looks down at Yui, she was snoring quietly, indicating that she was sleeping. Y/n smiles as he carries her and took the keys out of his pocket and then unlocking the door

After entering the apartment, he closes and locks the door. He suddenly felt too tired to walk to the bedrooms. So as a last resort, he just walks to the couch and have Yui sleep ontop of him. He might ache next morning but his too tired to care. Its his future self's problem. All he wants to do, is shuts his eyes and sleep

However, unknowingly to the both of them, Yui and Y/n both cuddled up to each other and had a small smile on their faces
