I knew she was going to come back. I just knew.
Aeryn was literally a bee. She was so annoying and to be frank she gives me migraines. She's always scaring someone, or blasting music through her headphones and you can hear the music from six feet away. No wonder she had to get her ears checked frequently.
You'd think that with how respected her mother was, Aeryn would feed on every drop of popularity and fear that she could get. Actually, she just naturally scares people even though she's mostly nonchalant to all the drama around her. I mean, why won't you be scared of a 5-feet-8 girl walking through the hallway with her head high and who could bury you six feet under with only her eyes if she heard you mention her name?
Then she doesn't get why people fear her. And even if I do, I also know that she's just an annoying little cinnamon roll who could be the best friend you ever had. And that's from just being her nemesis-- and Terulah making so much noise about how she missed her; for two fucking years straight.
I was in the Ciel lounge with Terulah, Denise (who is a guy despite his feminine name) and Ivana, with all three of us having to listen to Terulah blabber on and on about how she's so excited to see Aeryn and all the 'fun' stuff they're going to do-- though we know Aeryn isn't going to have a girls' only night if it doesn't involve destroying stuff and having prank wars with random people; all the things our little angel Terulah is absolutely not going to do.
"You seem to like the trouble," Ivana said. "You just claim to avoid it like a plague." She said, sinking into the navy blue corner chair where she was laying on Denise's lap.
"See, the trouble maker and I are destined to be besties and to rule the world in peace and love." She said, pointing her nose up. "She just has different ways of showing her love and enthusiasm, and different is beautiful!"
"You know," Denise started. "Sometimes I question whether you're gay and you just hide it behind being an epitome of grace and kindness." He was threading his fingers through Ivana's hair, and she seemed to be liking it because she sighed in what seemed to be content.
" I am literally not gay. I am grayromantic, in fact."
"Now you're using her labels? Honey, you're worsening the case. Just confess to her and take the rejection early, s'il te plait." I said, feigning a look of concern. I liked to pull her legs because she was like a sister I never had.
Except I had one, but she was um-
a demon.
"I am done with you children." Ivana said, closing her eyes and folding her arms.
Then the caramel-brown-toned devil just walked in, and was staring shamelessly at my physique. Then again, it was my fault for deciding to rebel against Terulah and not wear a shirt. I gave her a lovely warm greeting and she returned the greeting gracefully. She looked like she had grown an inch taller, and she dyed her hair wine red and had it in box braids which were tied into a high ponytail, and she no more wore plastic framed glasses, they were now silver, and kind of a decagon. And she still loved to wear boots. Of course, that wasn't going to change.
I had to admit, she looked almost attractive. Almost.
After our usual banter, I went to my room. My phone pinged, telling me that I got a notification from my Dad. He had baked chocolate cookies.

I went to shower right after dropping my phone on the bed. I made plans with Andres to meet at 'The Hang', a coffee and hangout place within campus. Andres was busy the whole day, so he couldn't come back to our room early. I was supposed to be there by 6:30, and it was 4:27pm. I came out of the shower, dried myself off, sprayed some deodorant and went on to pick my outfit.
I decided to wear a black shirt, black sweatpants, and black air jordans. I picked my beats headphones from my study table, and walked out of the room, playing 'Fluorescent Adolescent' by Arctic Monkeys.
I made it my final plan to mess with Aeryn. Just for old times sake.
Though Aeryn was certainly not someone you would want to piss off, doing that is what gives me satisfaction. I find it amusing to hear her scream.
Get your head out the gutter, John.
Anyways, no one has the balls to mess with me. Except Aeryn. Well no she obviously doesn't have ba- i'm not continuing this.
As I walked into the place, everyone kept quiet and created a pathway. I ignored the stares and silent murmurs and made a beeline to Andres, who was honestly tired with people treating me like some... something, I dunno.
"Aeryn's back, dude." He said, smirking conceitedly. One day I'll zap that smirk off his face.
"Yes, I know, now we can watch marathons of dora the explorer on youtube kids!" I said, feigning excitedness. "Now stop looking so smug if you don't want Terulah to know what you've been up to lately." I continued, giving him an icy glare. I have this weird force where I can choose to look at you a certain way and you start to feel either Fire, Coldness or Wind. Andres just controls water and wind with his hands. I honestly don't know how that shit works.
"Okay, okay. No need to ice me up," He stopped to snicker and laugh hysterically at his pun for about 10 seconds. "I was just teasing, Sugar. Chill out." I ignored the annoying nickname. He only gave it to me because sugar makes me hyper.
"I want to pull a prank on Aeryn." I said, studying his expression. Once again, the dumbass was smirking. "She's our loungemate, and she's annoying."
"I dunno. Just attempt to seduce her, I guess. That's enough to mess with her." He said, completely nonchalant over his choice of words. I zapped him briefly, causing him to wince. "I'm joking, dude!"
"Yeah, right. I cherish my life." I said, rolling my eyes.
And my balls.
