Chapter 1

Maeve's POV:

I woke up and looked over at the clock. 8:15am. "SCHOOL STARTS AT 8:30!" I thought. I jumped out of bed and trew on a nice wool sweater and some shorts. It was picture day today. I curled my long black hair. "Let's move Maeve!" My dad yelled from the bottom of the stairs. I grabbed my backpack and ran down the stairs.

"Your rides outside." My dad winked. I rolled my eyes. "Bye dad I love you." "Love you too." He replied. I closed the door and started walking down the stone path to the side walk. "Hey Andrew." I said as I got in the car. "Your gunna make me late for school." Andrew smiled. He leaned over and kissed me. "Right lets go." He said and started driving.

*time passes*

We pulled into the school driveway at 8:25. "We better run!" I shout. We grab our bags and run inside the school. I make my way to my locker and quickly grab my books. I make it to class just in time. "Hey girl!" My best friend Carman says. "Hey!" I say as I sit down next to her. "So Maeve. I was thinking we could go to the mall after school or something." Carman suggested as she filed her nails. "Why are you doing that in class?" I asked. "I didn't have time this morning." She rolled her eyes. "So? Mall or not?" She looked over at me. "Sure." I laughed.

*at lunch*

Carman and I met up with Andrew, Joslin, Cory and Neil for lunch. "You look different Neil." I say well eating a carrot. "That's cuz I died my hair!" Neil said in a sarcastic tone. "Why rainbow?" Cory asked. "It's June." Joslin said. "I know that!" Cory said. "No. It's June!" Joslin pointed over at the everyday basic hot Cheeto pick me that was June. "Hey Neil." June said twirling her annoying shoulder length blonde hair around her finger.

"What do you want June." Neil asked irritated. "Want to go out with me tonight." June said biting her lip. "I'm gay June. Plus I prefer Cory much more." Neil winked seductively at Cory. Cory did a silent roar back at him. "Ew!" June yelled and ran away. "What's her problem?" Joslin asked. "I knew you two were in love." Andrew smirked and ate a fry. "I'm straight!" Cory yelled. A bunch of people in the cafeteria looked over at him. "Good for you?" Some guy yelled from another table. We all burst out laughing.

"Y'all wanna come to the mall with us after school?" Carman asked. "Sure." Andrew answered. "Oh my god yes!" Neil squealed. "I can't I have soccer practice after school." Joslin grumbled. "Your such a stereo typical Joslin girl." Cory said. Joslin rolled her eyes. "You coming Cory?" I asked. "Naw my mom's making me go see Joslins game because we're siblings." Cory finished with a mocking tone. I rolled my eyes.

*after school*

Neil, Carman, Andrew and I all got in Andrew's car. "I called shot gun why do I have to sit in the back!" Neil sulked. "Maybe that's because Maeve is my girlfriend." Andrew answered. "Yeah it's because I'm his girlfriend!" I teased. "I'm your best friend!" Neil yelled. "We all started laughing at him. "I don't think it's funny." Neil said trying to hold back a smile. "Oh my god Carman can you take a picture of my new hair for my insta?" Neil asked. Carman grabbed his phone and rolled her eyes. She snapped the picture and handed his phone back. "I'm totally gunna get a boyfriend from this!" Neil smiled. "In your dreams." Carman scoffed. "Your just mad cuz I get more boys then you!" Neil teased. Carman opened her mouth to say something when Andrew interrupted. "Kay kids keep it down back there!" Andrew laughed.

*at the mall*

We pulled into the parking lot and we all got out of the car. We went inside. "Where to first?" I asked. "Hot Topic!" Neil gasped. "Ew!" Carman said. "Do you have a better place?" Neil asked. Carman didn't answer. "Exactly!" Neil flipped his hair. We all walked into Hot Topic and Neil ran all over like an excited dog. "Look at this! Oh my god and this!" Neil screamed. I saw a little old fashioned strawberry shortcake Funko Pop and turned to show Andrew. "Look at this!" I said and flipped it over to see the price. It was $30. I widened my eyes and put it back on the shelf.

Andrews POV:

I picked up the Funko Pop that Maeve just put back and ran to catch up with her. Her birthday was next week and I made up my mind that I was going to buy everything she said she liked as a surprise. The sound of Neil fan girling over everything was fading away. I watched Maeve digging through the pins she examined a particular one but she put it back and walked over to Carman.

I ran over and grabbed the pin out of the box. We all walked to the founder and waited for Neil to finish checking out. "Let's go!" Carman said. "I just gotta tie my shoe I'll catch up!" I yelled back and they all walked off. "Just this sir?" The cashier asked. I nodded and payed. "Would you like a bag?" They asked. "No I'm gunna put it in my backpack." I replied and shoved it in there. I ran and caught up with the group. "Let's go to American Eagle!" Carman suggested. "Okay!" Maeve replied. We made our way to the store.

"Oo look at these!" Maeve showed a black skin tight crop top to Neil and Carman. "Ooo!" Neil exclaimed. Maeve put it back. I ran over and grabbed the shirt. Size small. "She's gunna be so happy!" I thought to myself. A few other things caught Maeve's eye which I bought of course. We made out way to the food court and got dinner then I dropped everyone back at home.
