Short answer: no, having desires and feelings is not a sin. However, acting upon them (dating, kissing, marrying, having sex with the same gender) is in fact, a major sin, but committing it doesn't mean you're definitely going to hell, because no one, except Allah himself can tell you whether you're going to hell or heaven. And committing this major sin won't automatically make you a non-muslim.Asalamu alikum wa rahamtu allahi wa barakatuh, I'm Jannah and I used to be a bisexual muslim, so now I'm trying to help the misguided muslims, who are homosexuals. If you're not homosexual, or a Muslim, you can still read this to get more understanding about the ruling of homosexuality in islam :)
So, you're a homosexual muslim, and you're struggling, I know you are. But I can't fully understand you, you know who does though?
Allah. He understands you, knows you, more than you know yourself. For he himself created you.
He knows everything, from how hurtful it is for you, to how homophobic people might've said things that really hurt you. Like you don't belong, you're not even Muslim, you're going to hell, etc.
But wait. Is what they're saying true? No. No it isn't.
You're still a Muslim. And simply having feelings and desires for the same sex, isn't a sin.
It is a sin, a major one in fact, to act upon your desires. Which means to kiss, date, marry, have sex with the same gender.
You don't control what you feel, you are not sinning. Something made you feel this way, but it's not your fault.
So don't worry. You're not going to hell. You're not a non-muslim, you're not a disbeliever.
And, if you don't act upon your desires, then you're not a sinner. You will be greatly rewarded for your self collection, and for putting Allah first, for not listening to what your desires want, but instead, following the rules of Allah.
So, you're not sinning! And you're a muslim! And you're not going to hell because of things you can't control! Here, there's your answer :)
(This is the popular opinion of different scholars, so I'm not creating anything by myself. Religion is not something to just mess around with)
And of course, I know it's hard for you. To have self control is not easy. But Allah (SWT), the creator of you,me and everyone is there with you, he will never leave you. And, because you're still alive, this means he is still giving you a chance, to improve, to enjoy life and to work for the better afterlife
This life is not perfect, all of us humans are given so many difficulties, so many challenges, so many obstacles, problems, etc
But it's all a test.
Please, be patient. You're stronger than this. You can handle this!
Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear, it has been mentioned in the Qur'an.
