Okay, I've laid out your outfit on the bed," Rosalie tells me as I apply makeup in the bathroom. "Thank you, I love you," I respond to Rosalie, who laughs in return.
I apply white eyeshadow, adding a touch of brown to my crease, and proceed with my usual eyeliner routine. I embellish the inner corners of my eyes with some gems and finish with my signature blood-red lipstick.
*Gasps* "Oh my goodness, this outfit looks so beautiful," I exclaim while admiring myself in the mirror. Rosalie approaches from behind and adds, "Yes, this outfit looks amazing, but it's missing one little detail." "What?" I inquire, looking at Rosalie through the mirror with a puzzled expression.
It's missing this," Rosalie says, holding up a necklace adorned with beautiful white pearls in front of me. "Rose, I can't accept that. It appears to be costly," I respond, gently pushing the necklace back towards her. "I won't take no for an answer," she insists.
Rosalie clasps the necklace around my neck. "Thank you, Rose. How can I repay you?" Rosalie laughs. "Girl, you're my best friend; you owe me nothing. I gave you this necklace because it complements your outfit beautifully, and besides, I think Bill will adore it on you." Rosalie gives me a wink.
I give Rosalie a playful nudge before embracing her. "But if you really wanna repay me..." Rosalie stops mid-sentence, and I gaze at her, eagerly anticipating her response. "Enjoy yourself tonight and spend some time with Bill. I know you like him."
Rosalie wiggles her eyebrows at me, prompting an eye roll from my side. 'I had a feeling you would say that,' I remark. With a shrug and a smile, Rosalie responds, 'Now that we're finished, we better get going. We don't want to be late.'"
We head downstairs, and I open a cabinet to take out a bottle of hard liquor. Rosalie sees the bottle and laughs, "Why are you bringing a bottle if they're going to have drinks there?"
As they both approached the front door, she remarked, 'You can never go wrong with adding more drinks. As the saying goes, the more drinks, the merrier. Plus, if I'm going to interact with Bill, I'm going to need a little bit of liquor in my system.' I responded with laughter."
Upon arriving at the party, we exit the car and proceed towards the entrance. The sound of booming music and bursts of laughter greet us. A red carpet unfurls before us, leading to the door.
"Wow, they're really pulling out all the stops with this red carpet; I feel like a celebrity," Rosalie exclaims, swaying her hips like a model, which makes me laugh. "I'm excited to see everyone's outfits," she says with a broad smile.
"Are you okay, love?" Rosalie says, noticing my silence and deep breaths. "Yes, I'm just a bit nervous; it's been a while since I've been to a party. I don't want to embarrass myself."'
Rosalie wraps her arm around me and says, "I know, but we're already here; we can't back out now. You'll be fine. I'll stay by your side all night. Don't worry, I won't leave you." I smile at Rosalie and embrace her.
'"Okay, let's do this," I say as I knock on the door. Bill opens it, looking shocked. "OMG, Aria, I didn't think you'd come," he exclaims, inviting me in. "You look very beautiful, by the way," he adds, blushing.'
"Thanks, you don't look bad yourself." Aria says making Bill go even more red. "I see you brought a little something extra." Bill says while looking at the bottle in Aria's hand. "Oh yea, I forgot about this." She laughs and hands the bottle to Bill.
Bill laughs and takes the bottle from my hands. "Oh, before I forget, this is my best friend, Rosalie," I say, introducing them to each other. "Rosalie, meet Bill."
Hey Bill, nice to meet you," Rosalie says, smiling at him. "Nice to meet you too," Bill responds, returning the smile. "Well, enjoy yourselves, and if you need anything, feel free to find me," Bill says, waving to us before he walks off into the crowd.
"See, you had a conversation with him," Rosalie points out. "Yea, but it was barely a conversation. I felt boring; I'm not sure what to say to him. It's just awkward," I admit, fidgeting with my hands.
"Don't feel awkward; just pretend you're talking to me, only in a more handsome form," Rosalie says, winking at me. I laugh and give her a nudge. "Don't overthink it. Be comfortable and be yourself. Bill seems interested in you, so talking with him shouldn't be difficult."
I'm pretty sure he's eager to speak with you, but he wants you to feel at ease around him," Rosalie adds. "Maybe you're right. Let's grab a drink and see where the night leads us," I suggest.
"I'm happy to hear you say that; I've been eager to grab a drink," Rosalie exclaims, linking arms with me and laughing. We stroll to a quaint bar and order our drinks. After taking a shot, we each grab our cups and head over to where everyone else is gathered.
As we were walking towards the seating area, Rosalie bumped into someone, causing her drink to spill. "Damn it, why does this always happen to me? My poor drink," Rosalie whined.
"Oh sh!t, my bad," the boy says before picking up her cup. "Tom?" I inquire. "Well, well, well, looks like someone decided to join the fun," Tom remarks with a smirk directed at me. "Oh, shut up," I say, rolling my eyes.
'"Why don't we go grab another drink for you, gorgeous?" Tom suggests with a wink at Rosalie. Rosalie blushes and responds, "Okay, I'll be right back, Aria," as I gaze at her with wide eyes.'
'"What happened to sticking by my side?" I ask, my face wrinkled in confusion. "It will be really quick, I promise," Rosalie pleads with hopeful eyes. "Fine, but don't do anything to her, Tom," I say, giving Tom a stern look.'
Don't worry, Aria, I won't do anything unless she asks me to," he says, winking. "You better be true to that!" I shout as they walk away toward the bar. "Great, now I'm all alone," I mutter to myself.
"Should I find Bill for a conversation now that I'm alone?" I ponder, considering whether to search for Bill.
