{Aria is a 17-year-old girl born and raised in Londan, England. She was there most of her life up until the age of 10. Her mother Athena got a promotion as a Lawyer in Germany so that's when they decided to move. Her father Vincent is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air Force so he's rarely home, but he always keeps in touch with his girls. Aria has a best friend named Rosalie and she's been there for her ever since she moved to Germany. She's Aria's only friend. Aria closed herself off to people because she has some trust issues, she always got bullied in school and people had used her to their advantage. She also had a bad experience with her ex-boyfriend so even more so, she closed off to talking with people. Rosalie was the only exception Aria had made. Aria came off as a cold person, not interested in talking to people or making friends. Back home in London, people called her "Ms. Devilish" because she has the eyes of a devil.}

Ugh," I exclaimed. I glanced at the clock, which read 6:00 AM; school began at 8:30 AM. "Why does school even exist? The person who invented it deserves a lifetime of misery," I said, clearly annoyed.

"ARIAAAAAA!!!! WAKE UP! YOU DON'T WANT TO BE LATE FOR YOUR FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL," my mother says. "Yeah, yeah. I'm going," I reply. I walk to my bathroom and start getting ready for school.

I begin applying my makeup, opting for a bold eyeliner look that enhances the beauty of my eyes. I apply my signature red lipstick and proceed to style my black, curly hair.

After selecting my attire, I dressed in a simple black long-sleeved crop top paired with dark blue bootcut jeans. I chose black Converse shoes, accessorized with some jewelry, and completed the look with a sparkling belt.

I head downstairs and see my mom preparing breakfast. "Good morning, honey. How did you sleep?" my mother asks as she places a plate of pancakes, eggs, and bacon, accompanied by some orange juice, on the table.

"Everything was perfect until my alarm shattered my sleep," I say. My mother chuckles and responds, "Sorry, honey, but it's time for school." "Unfortunately," I reply with a laugh.

"It seems Rose has arrived; goodbye, Mom." "Bye, dear. Have a nice day at school and remember to be kind. Try to make some new friends, especially since it's your first day."

Athena expressed hope that her daughter would heed her advice. "We'll see about that, Mom," I retorted, rolling my eyes as I walked out to Rosalie's car.

Hey bestie!" exclaimed Rosalie as I entered her car. "Hey girl," I replied. "Before we depart, we need to discuss the plan for today," Rosalie stated, noticing my confused expression.

"What do you mean by 'talk about today'? It's just another day," Rosalie sighs. "Aria, I love you like a sister, but you need to open up to other people and make new friends. Don't you get tired of being with me all the time?"

*Laughs* "Of course not. Why would I? You're the only person I can trust, and I love your company," I say."

"I understand love, but you cannot simply linger around me all the time; I have other friends. Perhaps I could introduce you to some of them," Rosalie responded. *scoffs* "No, I don't think so. I don't want new friends; I am fine with you," I replied.

"You never know; you might take a liking to one of them and end up befriending them." I roll my eyes. "Can we just go? We don't want to be late on our first day," I say, hoping Rosalie would cease her chatter about making new friends.

As we arrive at school, I notice everyone is talking and hanging out before classes begin. I glance at the time; it's 8:10. Rosalie parks her car and steps out. I follow, and we walk toward the entrance together.

"I wonder if there will be any cute guys this school year," Rosalie muses, scanning the surroundings in hopes of spotting an attractive male. "Eww, girl, I doubt anyone here will be cute. Then again, you think everyone is cute," I remark, rolling my eyes. "Well, I'm off to find my locker. I'll catch up with you at lunch or if we share any classes," I say, waving goodbye to Rosalie. "Okay, bye bestie! Love ya," Rosalie responds, walking away.

As I walked trying to locate my locker, I collided with a boy sporting spiked hair and dressed in all black. "Oops, sorry, I didn't see you there," the boy apologized, retrieving my bag and handing it back to me. "Thanks," I murmured in response.

You're welcome. I'm Bill, by the way, nice to meet you," the boy replied. "I'm Aria," I responded, my gaze still fixed on my paper as I continued to search for my locker. "Do you need some help finding your locker?" Bill asked, offering a smile. "Kind of," I replied, meeting his eyes.

Bill had taken my paper and was looking at it while I was preoccupied with scanning his face, captivated by his striking attractiveness. "Why does he have to be so charming, and his smile so captivating? No, what am I contemplating? Get a grip, Aria; men are not to be trusted. They will only take advantage of you," I think to myself internally before dispelling the intrusive thoughts.

"It looks like you're my locker neighbor; your locker is right beside mine. Let me show you where it is—follow me," Bill said, beginning to walk leaving me to follow him. "We share four classes together," he remarked, glancing at my schedule.

I remained silent, not wishing to speak. Bill returned my schedule and said, "Here you go. I hope we can become friends. You seem like a reserved person, but hopefully, you'll feel comfortable enough to talk with me soon," while offering me a smile. I responded with a faint smile and said, "I need to head to class now, goodbye Bill." "Goodbye Aria," Bill replied, waving at me.
