Maya was jolted awake by the rhythmic ticking of her alarm clock. With a groggy yet determined movement, she reached over and pressed the button, abruptly silencing the sound. As she blinked the sleep from her eyes, the realization that she was back in her bedroom flooded her senses. Hastily, she swung her legs over the edge of the bed and stood up, her gaze fixated on the mirror. Sparing no detail, Maya meticulously scanned her reflection from head to toe, searching for any sign of change.

Maya's mother's voice echoed through the house, "Maya! It's time for school." Maya quickly responded, "Be down in 10!" She took one last look at herself in the mirror, adjusting her neatly pressed school uniform. Her dark brown hair was carefully styled into two long ponytails, and she braided them with a smile on her face. As she admired her reflection, she suddenly remembered something. She walked over to her nightstand and opened the drawer, reaching for her pink /white headscarf she tied into a cute bow. Before Maya hurried down the stairs, where her mother greeted her with breakfast and her school bag. Maya devoured her breakfast quickly, then slipped on her shoes before grabbing her bag and heading out the door.

"Goodbye, mom!" Maya shouted as she dashed out of the house. Her mother smiled gently, her attention caught by the sound of the clock ticking.

She found herself entranced by the rhythmic ticking of the clock, but she quickly shook off the feeling and went about her day, deciding to tidy up the house.

Later that day Maya sits in her homeroom as she tells her friends aboutwhat she aussmed was only a dream.  " no way !" Jaylen said as Maya responded. " yes way! I looked right into his eyes ." Maya says pointing to her eyes as she realized Jaylen was texting on top of her desk. "Seriously, are you even paying attention?!" Maya says crossing her arms. " Jaylen rolls her eyes. " is he real ?" she questions as Maya nods no but then shrugs her shoulders. " then why are we talking about fake Boy's when we can be talking about real ones ." Jaylen says to her as Maya sighs frustrated as she recalled the way he touched her. It felt too real to her. " but -" Maya says trying to convince her before Jaylen puts a finger to her lips. " real stuff...ok ." Maya them heasintly nods. Before the school bell rings.

"Let's go meet Naoko near the entrance," Jaylen said as she and Maya strolled towards the entrance to find Naoko waiting for them. Naoko spotted them and ran up to greet them with a warm smile, excited to see her friends.

"Like girl , you have to listen to Maya's story about her imaginary boyfriend," Jaylen exclaimed to Naoko. "He's real!" Maya blurted out, her cheeks turning a bright shade of red. "Wait, who's real?" Naoko asked, looking completely bewildered by the conversation. Maya huffed and crossed her arms, refusing to make eye contact. "Maya, you have to tell me!" Naoko insisted, eager for an explanation, while Jaylen rolled his eyes. Suddenly, the school bell began to chime repeatedly, causing them all to look toward the clock in confusion. As Maya's attention was caught by a butterfly fluttering by, time seemed to freeze, and she reached out to touch it lightly. Just then, multiple clocks throughout the everywhere began to chime simultaneously. "What on earth is happening?" Jaylen exclaimed, equally perplexed. As Maya glanced up at the clock before they all collapsed to the ground, completely unconscious.

" mmm...five more minutes ..."
Maya then felt a sensation on her check. Before waking up and holding her face crying out in pain " ouch !"
" girl you weren't waking up " Jaylen  said to her as Maya glares at her .
" so you slapped me ?!" Maya  yelled finally getting up . Jaylen rolls her eyes crossing her arms .
" well... I tried waking you up like a sane person " she said back  to Maya who gives her the death stare .
" sane person my as-" Maya was cut off by Naoko.

" hey ! Will you two stop arguing for one minute and focus on where the hell are we !"

That made both of us  go quiet. " wait weren't we at school ?  " Maya says looking around it was like there on a blank canvas.

" well we aren't now " Jaylen  commented back as Maya  crossed my arms " well I knew that obviously " Maya scoffed  at her as they both glare at each other . Maya then hears a familiar voice .

" good your up , took you long enough for a second there I thought you were dead" the mysterious stranger says making himself present to them as mayas eyes go wide it was the same man she encountered in her dream ... or was it a dream she thought to her self .
" who the hell are you ?" Jaylen  said to him looking him up and down .
" yeah who are you ?" Naoko  repeated the same question as he  scoffed  glaring at them not happy to see them especially her as he noticed Maya from the last time .

" listen boy ,we don't know what strings your pulling but you better take us back home ." Jaylen  said  to . As he looked backed at Maya then at all of them  .

" first I'm not your  boy second my powers are all over the place I should have known she would have a kid ... actually I didn't even know she had one . I normally know Everything about everyone from each time period I visit but .. space is gone and without him my powers are going nuts and I really need her help ."

The group still looked confused. " umm who's her ?" Naoko says confused. " and most importantly who are you ?!" Jaylen adds not trusting him not one bit .
He smirked at the three of them . " I'm the guardian of time ." The girls face expressions dropped . " did I hit my head  again ." Jaylen says freaking out as Maya pinched her . Jaylen lets out a cry in pain before glaring at her . " nope it's real and most importantly I told you so !" Maya says shouting in her face as Jaylen pushed her face away from her . " whatever , you didn't even tell me shit ." Jaylen responded back to her annoyed .

" focus." He says to them making Maya and Jaylen look up at him . " I used to travel with Maya's mother ..we  were great friends once upon a time . Until she decided to do her own thing . However  time and space are in great danger . Your mother was the only person who had the ability to help me ." He says sadly thinking about Maya's mother .
" that still doesn't explain who you are dude ." Jocelyn said interrupting his thought . He rolls his eyes at her rude behavior towards him.
" my name is Kitsune ."  He muttered.

" so your fox demon ?" Naoko  said excitedly noticing his appearance . He smirks at her knowledge towards himself . " nah I'm pretty sure he's a rat ." Jaylen whispers to Maya who laughs. " more like bunny with those pointy ears ." Maya says as they both giggle he then yells out . " you both must be very unintelligent humans ! I've ever seen."

" maybe we can help you ?" Naoko speaks for the group as both girls looked at her shocked. " wait hold on I didn't agree to this ." Jaylen says refusing as Maya looks nervous.

This caught Kitsune attention fast . " oh no I'm not traveling across time's with three mortal girls . Jade was the only exception ." He said quickly denying the offer
Maya thought for a moment the finally agreed to help . " count me in !" Maya says smiling happily as he looked at her reluctantly. " not you to maya ?! This is crazy ! .. but I'm not about to let my best friends die so count me in !." Jaylen  said before agreeing not wanting to be the only one left out .

" no!." Kitsune said denying the offer one more time as he hadn't been around mortals in ages and didn't plan on bringing them along for thier funeral.

" well you need us don't you ." Maya replied as he glares at her . " so since I'm the closest you're going to get to jade so it's either us or nobody." Maya says to him He sighed heavily before agreeing. The girls cheered happily .
" why do I get the feeling I'm going to regret this ." He muttered watching them before crossing his arms while closing his eyes not liking this situation one bit .
