Broken heart of time

Chapter three

Kitsune carefully retrieved a beautifully crafted pocket watch from his coat pocket. The girls watched in awe as he slowly opened the watch, revealing its intricate inner workings. With a graceful breath, Kitsune gently blew across the watch's delicate hands, and suddenly, they found themselves being transported into a mysterious realm that seemed to exist outside of time and space.

"Wow... where exactly are we?" Naoko asked, her eyes scanning the celestial expanse.

"This is my home and It's not so much as where but much a when," Kitsune replied with a sly smile.

"Are you saying you live in heaven or something?" Jaylen inquired with a hint of sarcasm.

Kitsune scoffed. "Do I look like an angel?" He retorted as Jaylen rolled her eyes.

" oh so your the devil ." Jaylen teased as he shouts. " neither!"

"So, was space like your friend or something?" Maya puzzled, gesturing towards the infinite cosmos.

Kitsune scoffed again before reaching out to fluff a passing cloud. "No, I absolutely despise him," he remarked, leaving the girls thoroughly bewildered.

Naoko furrowed her brow as she asked, "Wait, then why do you need him?"

"Time and space need each other, so sadly I have to work with that idiot," he replied, turning the cloud into a ring with a flick of his wrist.

Maya, bewildered, inquired, "What is that?" as the cloud-like ring began to glow.

"A time portal. It will take us to where we need to go," he explained before confidently stepping through it. They followed right behind him, eager to see where it would lead them .

As they landed, Kitsune executed a graceful descent onto the grass, followed by Naoko and Jaylen. Just then, Naoko was about to say something when Maya suddenly fell and landed directly on top of Jaylen, cutting her off mid-sentence.

"It looks absolutely enchanted," Naoko exclaimed in awe, her eyes sparkling with wonder. Overcome with delight, she began to skip around the place, her movements filled with the same joy and excitement as a little girl exploring a toy store. "It's making me feel like I'm in a magical wonderland," she added with a wide smile. " its making me sick." Jaylen said crossher arms not pleased .

"I'm sorry, this isn't a casual road trip, so could you please try to behave more responsibly?" he said, clearly frustrated by Naoko's  immature antics. naoko's expression froze as she realized she had overstepped. "I'm sorry," she murmured softly, remorse evident in her voice. "And the rest of you, remember that we're not here just for fun or to explore " he added, his tone commanding as the group followed him to wherever he was leading them.

The girls swiftly followed him as he guided them through the forest " where are we going ?" Maya asked He scoffed not liking be questioned all the time , he then sighed and decided to just answer her . " the first guardian ." He responded in an emotion less voice.

" who's that ?." Naoko asked confused as the others waited curiously for him to answer.kitsune looked at them before sighing as he cleared his throat. " long before humans twere around their was three guardians who gave gifts to you mortals before you took advantage of them for your own self reasons  ....One life , two death , three wisdom ...Because of mankind They each resign in a different worlds where they go into slumber ....its been eons since human kind laid eyes on them ." He finished as he stopped. Closing his eyes thinking back on old memories with jade which made him stop briefly as an image of her pops into his head , he closed his eyes for a brief moment before he felt someone lightly tap him.

"Umm kitsune?" Maya asked as she touched his shoulder making him flinch. " sorry let's keep going" he tries to gain his composure before he gracefully walks away from them knowing they would fallow behind.
