Desperate Measures by Queen_Wolf_666

222 7 3

They laughed as they glared at my teddy bear

A grey, ancient thing

Slouching against the sofa back

They jeered at me

"Why did you bring a teddy bear?"

And laughed at something

They never would have guessed

That bear was my companion

The one whose fur went damp

And stained from my eyes

The one who watched  silently

As I self harmed

The one who

May not be able to speak

But was my best friend

And understood me through everything

Something humans have failed to do
