"Get up! You're gonna be late!"

"Come on, David!" David vaguely heard a feminine voice in his sleep.

Jamie was trying to get David to wake up by shaking him. When that didn't work, she grabbed his second-in-command.

David jumped in the bed and sent a small wave of rainbow fire over a small portion of the room. Jamie cried out as she felt the fire give her a third degree burn and dropped her burning apple. David realized what he had done and began panicking.

"Oh my gods, Jamie," he said, getting up. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

Jamie winced. "It's ok." she said, then lied through her teeth, "It's not that bad."

"Here, hold it out."

Jamie did as she was told and moaned as David applied water-like rainbow flames against the area. Within a few minutes, her arm was as good as new.

Jamie smiled at him, but he looked very somber.

"I'm really sorry I did that."

Jamie punched his shoulder. David put his hand on the attacked area and couldn't help but smile. "It's alright."

Mrs. Grayson, at that moment, appeared at the door. "Ah, David," she noted, "You're awake. Get dressed. Get your things. You'll miss the boat."

David looked at Lizzy's bed. From the way it looked, it had been vacated for some time. "Where is my sister?" he asked, trying to sound as polite as he possibly could.

"She went on ahead." Jamie answered. "Odin called her, I think."

 "Now, come on."

"Coming, Mom." Jamie left the room, to let me get my stuff.David quickly got dressed, grabbed got his suitcase and headed downstairs.

"Breakfast?" Jamie asked when she saw him, offering him one of her four Hot Pockets.

He was tempted. Not because he was hungry. But because it was Jamie who was offering it to him and the fact that he accidentally found himself looking at her chest. "Uh, David," she said, "My eyes are up here."

"Oh, um, sorry," David said, rubbing his hand across the back of his head, smiling awkwardly. "No, I will pass. But thanks anyway."

"Ok." she said in a disappointed voice. "I just wanted you to have one of them."

"I get that." I half-laughed. "You just offered me one."

"Don't talk to me like that, Reeves." she said, glaring at him. "I meant, I wanted you to have one because I made them all from scratch."

"Oh." he gulped. "In that case... I will have one."

"Get in the car!" they heard Mr. Grayson yell.

David took the hot pocket from Jamie and smiled at her. She smiled back. Gods, he missed that smile so much. "Ikimashou." he said and Jamie blinked.

"What?"

"Oh, um, it's this thing I've been saying lately. Kind of become a habit."

Jamie ahhed.

"Thanks for the ride, Mrs. Grayson." David shouted as he, Jamie, Naomi and Sarah ran towards the giant boat.

"No problem." She shouted back. "Take care."

"It'll be good to see them all again, won't it?" Jamie asked.

"For now, let us focus on not missing our only ride to Ebenezer." David responded and they ran faster.
