Daniel Park finds James Lee's house.
Searching around the old abandoned house, Daniel Park began rummaging through various items. The place was a mess and the disarray of things on the floor showed just that.
Moving over to the bed he sees it's mostly clean, only dust littering the surrounding area. Next to the sleeping area was a bedside table with a lamp and small dish filled with various candies like lollipops. Daniel then turns his head to see the desk. A monitor is still connected to the power though it's switched off. There's cd games splayed out onto the desk as well as a few writing utensils and a drawing pad.
Daniel reaches out towards the desk slowly, picking up the drawing pad and gently flicking through the pages. Not one page is left plain, each page was filled with drawings, ranging in size, and they all have one thing in common.
A girl is drawn on every page. She's in her school uniform, a beige blazer and an impossibly short skirt. She's got a look about her... a friendly, clean aura. Though her face is not shown, it's for sure that she's gorgeous.
Each drawing is different though, some show her smiling and posing, some show her doing mundane things but most show her doing nothing at all. Reaching the last page of the drawing pad he doesn't realise how long he's been looking at these drawings. He places the book down gently and then pulls out the desk's drawers. The drawers were difficult to open, filled and jammed with many heavy things. Finally getting the drawer open, more drawings are revealed, though these are loose drawings on random paper not contained in any notebook.
Some drawings are written on school worksheets, one titled as "advanced chemistry - polymers and monomers". The sheet is obviously marked with an A+, but on the back of the sheet is a huge drawing of the same girl. This practice is repeated many times on each different school sheet.
Daniel is now even more curious. He gets a little more rough with opening each drawer, each filled with hundreds of drawings of this girl. Some miniature cartoon-style with multiple on each page and some with a huge, lifelike drawing on the back of it.
On the last drawer Daniel notices a fake bottom to it. Picking up the piece of thin plywood to uncover what's underneath, he sees a tiny digital camera. The grey metal of the camera is mostly scratched given its age. Extending his arm to grab the camera he notices its heaviness— there's still batteries inside.
Turning the camera on, it boots up and shows the logo of the camera company, also playing a small digital jingle. The loading screen goes and he's met with the image in front of him— the camera works. Confirming his suspicion that the camera still functions, he goes to its photo library and begins to search through the various images.
It's the same girl again, in each photo. The skill of the artist, who Daniel presumes is James Lee, is unmatched. His drawings look exactly like each photo. Daniel begins to rapidly swipe through all the photos. Some photos of daily life, like school sporting events, school lessons and photos of holidays. Then there's one photo that Daniel can't skip. The mystery girl is lying on the bed, unaware of being photographed. Daniel thickly swallows at the photo. He can't bring himself to look at any more photos... he feels as if he's invading someone's privacy. He turns the camera off and returns it to its usual position.
Who was James Lee, and who the hell is this mystery girl?
