53. MATTEO

I really despise Romeo sometimes, and I hate myself for listening to him.

He said I should stalk Xena. I said, I don't need to stalk Xena, I just need her to come to her senses and break up with her stupid boyfriend.

What do I do though?

Stalk Xena.

I'm good at stalking people. It's part of why I got my name.

I watch people, study them and then scheme.

But for her, I'm watching her and her stupid boyfriend just for fun. As a hobby. I'm learning what they like to do together, their behaviours to each other.

Xena likes princess treatment.

He's a dom.

I did more research into him. He's 30, his family are millionaires in the UK. He moved to the US 5 years ago and has been working closely with the government ever since.

He's good at what he does.

But I'm better in every other way.

I haven't gotten to the point where I've been inside their house yet. I'm doing that tonight.

Every Thursday night they go out on a date. Usually to a fancy restaurant.

I'll scan the house, find what I can of Xena's just to tease her when I see her next.

For the past month we've only bumped into each other at the gym or at Neves's house. We hardly speak to each other but the looks we give each other say all that needs to be said.

She was in the gym this morning, I don't think she realises that the gym she goes to is Italian owned, one of the older Reign men opened it for the juniors to train but it got popular among the public and now it's open to everyone, but it's full of Italians.

When I'm not there, it still gets reported back to me that she's there.

I was waiting by the tree as she walked out of the house, a smile on her face as a silk dress hugged around her body. She was wearing black heels and her natural hair was flowing freely.

Benjamin walks out behind her, locking the door but I've already stolen a pair of house keys from him.

He was wearing a suit. He holds the car door open for her and she gets in, kissing his cheek before he shuts the door and goes around to the other side.

She looks better with me.

Within a minute they drive off and I watch them leave the lane.

I walk up, taking the keys out of my pocket and pushing them in the door. He doesn't have an alarm, so I just make my way in, shutting the door behind me.

A mansion, that's for sure.

She hasn't even seen my new place.

It was very bland, white and black everywhere with no colour or decoration.

The hall has a fountain in it, the water trickling down.

The first room was a living room, I could see her slippers by the couch and bonnet laying on the coffee table, a small mug of coffee there too.

She doesn't even like coffee.

There was another living room but they were more show living rooms that actual living rooms.

I go into the kitchen.

It was very clean.

I see some British snacks imported in his pantries, as well as some of Xena's favourite snacks.
