Victoria lied to Sky. She wasn't going to look for Bloom. She was going to kill the Burned One. The girl knew it was a deadly mission, but she didn't care about anything as long as her father was going to survive.
She listened carefully to her surroundings as she was moving through the woods, with her eyes glowing crimson red. Even though it was a chilly night, Victoria still shivered from the emotions that were filling her. The girl was determined to find that creature and kill it.
Just as she was about to cross the barrier, she felt someone's presence behind her. She clenched her jaw, a red orb appeared in her hand and as she turned around she saw a familiar specialist.
"Sky? What are you doing here?" Victoria asked, the orb in her hand disappearing. She scanned his figure and noticed he was wearing the same armour as her. "And why are you wearing armour?"
"I could ask you the same thing, Vic," He sighed and gripped the knives that were strapped to his torso. "I just can't sit around and do nothing when Silva's dying," The boy responded, answering her questions.
Victoria nodded in agreement and motioned towards the dark forest with her head. Sky didn't need to think twice, before he passed through the barrier, running through the woods. The girl followed him, still listening to her surroundings. She could see him pulling out his sword, in case something would attack them. He slowed down his pace to catch up with the girl, who was speed-walking as their gaze was focused as they roamed through the dark forest.
Suddenly a loud growl echoed through the forest, making the ground shake as Victoria and Sky stopped in their tracks. Their backs were pressed against each other's as they were looking around for the Burned One. Sky was holding his sword in front of him, while Victoria outstretched her hands, glowing red.
"Guys!" Their heard from the side, making them guard up even more. It was Bloom, who had tears running down her face. "It's close," She whispered as soon as she ran up to them.
It was only a matter of seconds when a creature jumped down from a tree, growling at the teenagers. The boy began to attack the creature with his sword, while Victoria helped Bloom scoot away from the harm. As soon as Victoria helped the ginger, she ran up to the Burned One, creating a big ball of crimson energy and lifting the creature up in the air.
She grunted as she felt the magic taking over her, but it didn't stop her. It made her feel stronger and more determined to kill the Burned One. Out of sudden Victoria made a quick hand movement, sending the creature on a sharp branch, piercing his body in result.
Her vision went blurry for a few seconds, before she took off running towards Sky, who was laying on the ground, clutching his stomach. "You okay?" She breathed out, scanning the boy's figure.
"Yeah," Sky responded, nodding in agreement. "I didn't know you were a fairy," He furrowed his eyebrows, slowly getting up from the ground.
She chuckled. "Surprised?"
