As the sun was setting, the leaves on the ground blew away. It was windy, a brown Tom sat down on the grass, his fluffy fur blowing in the wind. As he looked into the sky with all the stars a light brown she-cat sat beside him. "Nice night ain't it Foreststar?" The small brown she exclaimed. Foreststar looked at her, clamly saying; "arnt't you supposed to be asleep? Don't you need to go herb hunting with Orangepaw?" Her ears twitched, the breeze was also getting cold. "Leaf-bare's about to start, we'd better stock up on prey soon." She explained, ignoring his answer. "Hey don't ignore my answer!" He said, chuckling at her. "We should probably go to sleep, it's already nightfall." She looked at him. "Why are you even out here anyway? Your supposed to be asleep in your den." He looked back at her. "I just wanted to see the sunset." She sighed, getting up and about to walk away she said one finale thing, "Foreststar, your a great leader. The light of NatureClan. Naturestar would be proud for his own son to bring back his clan, even though... even though he was exiled.. or a bad father.." As she said that, she slowly walked away back to their camp entrance. She looked up at the stars in the sky, smiling, she patted off down hill where their camp was. As he was beginning to get up off of the grass, he thought he heard two cats, he turned around but no one was there. He went up the hill to see the forest, it was dark. He could hear the sounds of prey in their slumber. He looked up at the starry sky, with the moon and the stars up in there. Even if he knew his father was not in StarClan, he had some respect for him, even if he was a bad father. There was a small lake near the forest, he went over there, there was an abandoned shack where rogues usually stay at. He was getting a quick drink of water, until he heard paw steps. He turned around, a rouge or a loner, with silver blue fur and with one eye. "What are you doing here? You smell of none of the clans...." He exclaimed, he didn't seen harmful. "I'm the leader of NatureClan, who even are you?" The cats ears twitched, his tail flicking. "My dearest apologies, a lot of the rouges and loners call me Feather because of my fur. And some call me Lost cause of my eye." Foreststar looked at the cat, his fur looked like it felt the same as a feather. And then he looked at his face, seeing a scar and one blind eye. "Say what is your name? And what is NatureClan." Feather said calmly. "My name is Foreststar, i'm the leader of NatureClan." He sighed, "NatureClan? Is that made up?" Foreststar looked at the loner. "No! My father was leader before me, he made this clan for peace."
"Peace? Ha! There's no such thing as peace among the clans, i would know." Foreststar glanced at the loner, "what do you mean no peace among the clans?" Feather stared at the leader, with a mean expression, "one of ShadowClans cats blinded me in the eye when I was just a kit, then the ThunderClan deputy almost killed me! Good thing there was a few housefolk near, I would've been dead by now." Foreststar was shocked, never in moons would ThunderClan attempt to kill so fiercely.. ShadowClan is a different story but, ThunderClan? "No! The clans would never do that, it's against the warrior code!" Feather chuckled, grinning at the cat who stood below him. "Well then, your code dosen't seem suitable for ThunderClan or ShadowClan." Foreststar didn't believe a word this loner was saying, he's making it all up! He thought. He realized how good of a cat he will be if he was in the clan! A calm yet challenging cat for NatureClan would suit him and the clan good? With all the battles going on with the old clans he would seen suitable in such a state. "How about you join me in NatureClan?" Feather stared at him, wide eyed. "Are you serious?!" He stared at him blankly. "Me, join a clan? After all they did to me? What trauma that caused me? For sake no." Foreststar looked at him confused, looked back to the forest and back at him. He looked suitable for clan life why wouldn't he wanna join? But he thought a second thought, this was his choice but why? He looked at him, who Feather was looking blankly at him. "I'll be on my way, don't look after me." Foreststar looked at Feather as he ran off, he was a fast cat for his behavior. All of a sudden Foreststar forgot what he was going to do and headed to camp where he could get some sleep.
