A new path: Dew and Crystal

CHAPTER TWO

As the moon shined beneath the clan cats, as cats of all clans gathered beneath the full moon where Starclan watched over them. Chattering and talking was everywhere. Shorepaw scented all of the clans, he felt a bit uneasy about it. "This is so cool!" Sunsetpaw shouted, Barkpaw and Shadowpaw nodded. They were all talking about random things that happened in their lives until they herd a yowl for silence. Everyone stopped talking and looked up at the four leaders opon the high rock. "Cats of all clans" Soulstar shouted, everyone stopped and listened to what he had to say. "As you all may know leaf-bare is coming up, and prey will be scarce. So me and Featherstar have decided to become allies." Shocked gasps from Natureclan and Cloudclan arose. "Allies? Really, Soulstar are you serious? Me and Foreststar have helped you many moons ago when Frogstar almost drew out you and Featherstar out of the forest, and now this?" Wolfstar shouted, the whole clearing could hear him. Even the tiniest kit in the nursery could hear him. "Wolfstar, calm down. It's just an alliance. Besides you should be allying on everyone else too, that badger has been eating all of our prey so it will be scarce this moon." Shorepaw was shocked, and so was the other apprentices. They never herd Wolfstar argue unless it was for a good reason. He could see that Cloudclan was shocked too, but they kept their mouths shut. "Aside from that, Crystalclan has been doing well and rich in our prey, and also welcoming our newest warrior: Badgerfoot." Soulstar shouted, Shorepaw turned to where the new warrior was, he was a black and white Tom with long front claws. Shorepaw couldn't imagine that, he turned to Featherstar who was still glaring at Wolfstar, "Dewclan has been great, with the fish in the ocean it couldn't be any better. Though one of our warriors has gotten sick, Berryflower has been trying to heal them." Shorepaw whispered to Sunsetpaw, "I wonder if that warrior is Skystep, you know, the most strongest Dewclan warrior? I wonder if that, he always comes to gatherings. That's what Fadedhowl told me." Sunsetpaw looked at him with a gasped mew, "you really think so?" She asked, looking at him with shocked eyes. "Yea, i'm sure of it." Sunsetpaw looked like she wanted to say more, until Foreststar started to talk about the clan and how we lost one kit; Blackkit. He was stolen by badgers and such. The clan dosen't know if he's dead or alive. But his mother, Sickpelt, keeps stating that he's still alive and not dead. The clan keeps stating that they hear a kits mew when their in the nursery, so he's mostly dead. "Poor Sickpelt," Sunsetpaw mewed, "I feel bad for her, that was her only kit she had left from her litter." Sunsetpaw sounded sympathetic but Shorepaw knew she felt very bad for her. "I know, Sunsetpaw, but Foreststar is trying his best to try and find him. Let's just..." he broke off, as he was trying to find the words to say. "Let's just hope that our clan will find him." Sunsetpaw nodded. Before she could say anything else, the four apprentices herd a low growl from Foreststar. "Soulstar, are you questioning my loyalty towards my clan?" Foreststar shouted, he must've told him about the rouge that was entering our clan, that rouge, Feather. "Foreststar, you're letting a rouge in your clan, no? Then that must mean you don't care about anything for your clan."
"You don't know why I brought that rouge into our camp!" Foreststar snapped at him. Shorepaw felt a tiny bit scared but kept listening. He could see the other clans looking in astonishment. "Oh, but I do," Featherstar stepped into the conversation, "
while my clan was on a patrol, Silentwing saw you talking to him and listened in on your conversation. But since i'm nice, I won't spill." Shorepaw swear he saw a flash of anger in Foreststar's eyes, like a light that would never go out. "Are you serious? Really, Featherstar, you couldn't keep your nosy warriors out of my clans business?" Foreststar gave her a glare, Shorepaw couldn't believe what was happening. Is Starclan not mad about this? "Don't you dare call my warriors nosey!"
