"They say you have your entire life ahead of you, but time goes quick and soon you'll look back and all you will do is regret."

Aurora swiftly changed into her uniform, adorning a slightly big, blue and bronze scarf. She waited for everyone on the platform and then they all headed to the carriages, separating into fours when they arrived. She quickly got into a carriage with Harry, Ron, and Hermione and they chatted the entire way to the castle.
As the carriages slowed down, Hermione spotted the twins, Ginny, and Eléa getting down from their carriage a few carriages up. They got down and joined them, practically running to avoid getting soaked by the heavy rains.
Ron, looking up at the rain, said, "Blimey, if that keeps up the lake's going to overflow. I'm soak- ARRGH!"
Narrowly missing another red balloon, Ron staggered sideways into Harry, causing the balloon to pop at his feet, drenching his sneakers and socks. Looking up, Aurora saw Peeves snickering uncontrollably with two huge water balloons in his hand, ready to be thrown.
"PEEVES!" yelled Professor McGonagall. She sternly walked over, or attempted to, as she slipped and grabbed Aurora around the shoulders and Hermione around the neck to avoid falling.
"Oh, ouch- sorry, Miss Granger, Black-McKinnon-"
"It's alright, Professor!" Hermione said, slightly massaging her neck. Aurora dragged Harry and Ron, who were just watching the spectacle, into the Great Hall, Hermione not far behind.
They entered the Great Hall and Aurora looked for everyone else. She saw the twins and Ginny at the Gryffindor table and assumed Eléa had already made her way to the Ravenclaw table.
She said bye to them, and made a beeline to where Luna, Eléa, Hyunjin, and Arundhati were sitting.
"Hi darling, how was your summer?" Arundhati asked, grabbing her into a nice, warm hug. Aurora reciprocated, leaving a swift peck on her cheek.
"It was alright, didn't do anything 'cept go to the World Cup, which was pretty fun. You?" she pulled away, drinking a sip of water.
"It was good, if you count hanging out with your 5 year old, bratty cousins fun. Honestly, you'd thing they'd have some manners, even if they are 5." she rolled up her sleeve and showed a barely healed scratch. "Do you see that? Honestly, they are more suited to the pound than a day care!" she huffed.
Aurora chuckled, about to ask another question before being interrupted.
"Hello? I'm right here. Where's my hug?" she turned around to be met with the handsome face of Hyunjin, narrowing his eyes at her. She chuckled and brought him into a tight hug, pecking him on the cheek as well. He did the same and flashed a brilliant smile at her. She gave Luna a hug and kiss and turned to face everyone.
"How was your summer, Hyun? Luna?"
"It was wonderful! Me and father went river wading to catch some Sniggle Mumps! They are seasonal so we had to plan it out perfectly. It was so much fun!" Luna's airy voice rung through the air as Hyunjin smiled at her.
"That sounds wonderful, Luna. You should invite us sometime, I would love to go." said Hyunjin kindly, Aurora, Eléa, and Arundhati nodding along as well.
"My summer was okay. We didn't really do anything, stayed home because parents were busy. Y'know, the usual." Hyunjin avoided their eyes, knowing he would see sympathy in their eyes.
Not wanting to make him uncomfortable, Aurora quickly tried to change the subject before being cut off by the Hall quieting down.
Professor McGonagall was leading a long line of first years to the front of the Hall, turning around to shush them. She placed a four-legged stool at the front, the very same one she sat on 3 years ago. Everyone stared at the hat that she placed upon the stool, and a few moments of silence passed until the hat broke into song.
"A thousand years or more ago,
When I was newly sewn,
There lived four wizards of renown,
Whose names are still well known:
Bold Gryffindor, from wild moor.
Fair Ravenclaw, from glen
Aurora zoned out by now.
I'll have a look inside your mind
And tell where you belong!"
The sorting began, and Aurora and her friends politely clapped whenever Ravenclaw was called, willing for the sorting to end quickly so they could eat. Bored, Aurora looked around and found Harry's gaze locked somewhere towards the Hufflepuff table. She followed his line of sight, only to be met with the sight of Raven Scamander, sister to Rolf Scamander and granddaughter to Newt Scamander, a famous magizoologist.
Aurora looked back to find Harry looking at her. She raised an eyebrow and smirked, glancing at Raven and back Harry. He turned a slight pink and mouthed fuck off. She only smirked harder and quietly laughed at him. She turned back around, feeling the heat of his glare on the back of her head, making it hard for her to contain her laughs.
Turning around after Dumbledore's speech, she saw Harry had turned towards the front with a bright red face and a flustered expression. Ron turned to talk to Harry as the food appeared, before stopping and staring at Harry. "Mate, are you alright? You look a bit-"
"Shut up." At this, Aurora couldn't hold her laugh anymore and let out a graceful laugh, catching Harry's attention.
I'm going to kill you.
his glare said.
You sent him an amused glance. She loved this.
