Solo Arc Prologue: Jaune's Awakening

Jaune Arc is many things, A blonde haired 17 year old guy. Yes. An idiot who doesn't have any preservation instincts. Also yep. Someone who wouldn't leave his friends behind even to save his own skin? Triple Yep.

So when the mission came for JNPR, RWBY, and CVFY, to explore and check out some ancient ruins they all said yes, not only as a means of gaining some money, but also as a way to enjoy some team bonding due to how Jaune was gaining some proper experience and some respect from the various students. He could finally beat Cardin in a one on one fight... About 3 times out of 10... but hey it was some improvement!

His friends all agreed that it was indeed some impressive progress that he underwent to grow so much and actually beat Cardin at all given how he was rag dolled by basically everyone in their year up until a month ago when he won his first match against the bully. Only to be challenged by Cardin every time there was a free match just to prove it wasn't a fluke. Now the bully has it out for Jaune to prove he is greater than the dork knight in everything from skill to power. Jaune can only grit his teeth and endure until his muscles and skill grows better than they are now. But until then he will do his best to grow and keep training with not only Pyrrha but all his team mates. After a shocking reveal of his falsified transcripts he was afraid of them all trying to get rid of him or outright abandoning him. Instead most of them agreed to help him as they have seen his progress and know he is trying his hardest to live up to the standards of Beacon academy.

Weiss was the only one who was not so keen on letting him off the hook. She even threatened to turn him into the police for falsifying his documents. Everyone objected except Jaune. He actually told Weiss that if she wanted to then she can go ahead, but he would do his best to earn his place back and prove her wrong. With tensions growing Weiss actually smiled at that and said, "Alright! I won't!" Everyone was still and gobsmacked for a good 2 minutes before the barrage of questions came towards her. A single hand help up silenced them. And she explained.

"I wanted to test his resolve. If he had fought and begged then I would have gone through with my threat, and told the police and head master Ozpin. But since he was willing to prove me wrong and earn his place back instead of giving up, then I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Just like I should've with you Blake. Sorry about that." A quick 'none taken' is heard, and she focuses on a smiling Jaune, before her serious face and a pointing finger is right in his face making him go cross eyed staring at her finger as if it was the tip of her rapier, "However! I will only give you the benefit of th edoubt so long as you continue to show your hard work, and focus on improving that you have been showing us so far this year. Am I Understood?"

With a gulp Jaune shakily smiles at her with a slight stutter, "I- I under-understand. I'll do my best!"

With a playful smile she giggles and turns away with a slight sway in her hips that Jaune caught and quickly looked up before refocusing his eyes on her face and blushing as he sees her head turned to look back at him with a playful smile once again on her face. She simply says, "Don't make me feel cheated in believing you Jaune~."

With a wink she finishes walking away while the rest of the team all look between Jaune and Weiss's interaction with a 'what the fuck?' look about them with how that talk went. Pyrrha is grinding her teeth at how Weiss got a leg up on her for trying to get Jaunes attention in this reveal. So she resolved herself to be more assertive and open with her feelings regarding Jaune.

Fast forward a month to today and Pyrrha is noticing Jaune looking at her and blushing more seeming to notice her charms, while Weiss is still in the race for him too, and for some reason it seems like Velvet has decided to join the race for the Knights heart! Given how many times the teams have all trained together or studied together over the last 3 weeks since Jaune stood up to the bullies for Velvet making her hang out with him more often. Thus resulting in their three teams becoming closer and practically becoming one huge extended team.
