Seungmin is walking home with a pep in his step after getting the job. He still has his iced coffee from that morning, but now it's too diluted to be enjoyable. He scrunches his face when he takes a sip and sighs in disappointment.

When he gets home Seungmin dumps the coffee into the sink and throws the disposable cup into the recycling bin. Seungmin doesn't feel like eating, but he knows that his body needs something. He sees that there's some fruit about to go bad and throws them into the blender along with a little bit of oat milk, ice cubes, and his personal favorite, chocolate syrup.

Once his smoothie is to his liking, he put it in a glass and sat at the table. He pulls out his phone and scrolls to see what memes he can save and use on Jeongin later. As if the thought of Jeongin summoned him, the omega sends Seungmin a text. It was a video. Seungmin opens it, fully expecting it to be some dumb short the younger found, but instead, it was a woman grinding on a man with her ass. 

Seungmin looks at it in confusion wondering why Jeongin sent him a clip of some performer until the dancer turns around after pushing the girl away in disgust and allows Seungmin to see his face.

The dancer in the video is Minho. Seungmin feels his eyes flicker between red and their usual obsidian color. He knows that Minho would never cheat on him and that he definitely fired the girl since one of the rules Minho sets for the people he works with is: no intimate contact unless it's part of the choreography. 

The rule was pretty much set to tell the other dancers "Hey, don't touch me; I don't feel soft and fluffy." 

He thanks Jeongin and finishes his smoothie. Seungmin's wolf isn't as possessive as Minho's which is why the older usually tops, but today, Minho has no chance of dominating the ravenette. Seungmin thinks back to his past with the purple-haired alpha while waiting for him to walk through the door. When they first met Seungmin never thought they would wind up being mates.

Before Seungmin and Minho became mates, they were friends. They've always admired each other's personalities and witty comebacks. It wasn't until Minho asked the younger to mate with him, did Seungmin realize his feelings. He was so whipped for Minho. He wanted to hold the older's petite waist and mark his neck so that everyone knew he was off limits. He wanted to cuddle and spoon the shorter boy and cover him with his paper and ink scent, but he was too scared.

Seungmin didn't think it would work out. He was afraid their personalities would clash if they were together since they are so similar. He also heard about how relationships between two alphas didn't end well. 

He ended up turning down Minho's offer and avoided him for weeks which soon turned into months. Seungmin was hurt and so was Minho. They were best friends. It wasn't until one night both of them were at a party that was hosted by their mutual friend, Chan, that they talked. Seungmin apologized to Minho and told the older about how the months they spent apart were so miserable. It made him realize that he couldn't live without the shorter alpha. He told Minho that he would love to be his mate.

Minho was the happiest man alive that night as he made love to Seungmin after a long fight for control. He became even happier as he sank his teeth into Seungmin's neck, marking the younger as his forever.

When Seungmin finally marked Minho, he knew that he wouldn't get much control in this relationship and he was fine with that. He would enjoy all the times Minho let him hold him and litter his neck with hickeys. All he wanted was to be happy with his best friend-turned-mate. And he is happy.

Seungmin has a smile on his face after recalling the past. He knows that both Minho and himself will be happier with an omega in their life, and he's okay with that. Just as long as he still gets some moments where he can make the older alpha melt under him. A moment he will get the pleasure to experience once again very soon.
