After wanda unleashed her powers and killed apocalypse with the help of charles,hank, scott, Alex,raven, peter and storm. They clam down. There was a silence. But it was broken as kurt started to call Charles frantically.
" professor... professor. " kurt called . Then he found that Charles wasn't breathing. " we lost him." Kurt said sadly and passed out.
Hank jumped up and rushed to check Charles. " Charles!! Charles get up. GOD DAMN IT, YOU CAN'T DIE ON US LIKE THIS." Hank yelled.
" He is not dead . I can still feel him. But he is losing his life force rapidly. " Wanda said sadly. And tried to wake Charles up using her telepathy power. Erik came and sat beside Charles as Charles opens his eyes a bit. Charles opened his eyes and groaned in pain.
" Charles, are you ok? You know where are you?" Hank asked worried.
" I am on a beach. " Charles said smiling weakly and Erik eyes widen as he remembered that ominous day.
" A beach ?" Peter asked confused.
" in cuba with you" Charles said smiling at Erik as his eyes shut off.
" CHARLES!!!" Erik called.
" what's happening to him, wanda.? " Erik asked panicking as Wanda started to use her healing powers more.
" His life force, it's draining. " wanda said panicking.
" we need take him to the hospital as soon as possible. " raven said panicking.
"I think taking him to a hospital would be far too dangerous." Erik said.
"Erik, he needs medical attention that I can't give him here," Hank's voice sounded panicked, "maybe if the school wasn't a pile of rubble and I had all of my equipment I would be able to properly treat him, but I don't have my lab, or the infirmary, and he needs an MRI and possibly CT scan."
"It's too dangerous. I'm not going to let you..." Erik's words were cut off by Wanda's panicked voice.
"Dad, I am losing him. We have to start the treatment as soon as possible. " wanda said while trying hard to heal Charles. But Charles life force was draining rapidly.
"It could be dangerous. His voice was heard in the mind of every person on the planet. What if someone recognizes him?" Erik said torn between what to do. He wants to take Charles to the hospital but if he do this he will be endangering all his family members well as Charles's safety. . Can he be selfish for Charles this once?
"And they will hear his voice only if he is still alive to that point." Alex said annoyed.
"How can you even think about people recognising him when he is dying,Erik??" Raven asked crying. "How can you be so cruel to the man you claim to love the most? How can you not care about? Do you even love him?" Raven said venomously.
"I don't care what you think dad. I am taking my mom to the hospital. That's final. " peter said with determination and picked Charles up from Wanda's arms. He told wanda to hold onto him as he speed away.
Erik stood there as a statue. 'Did he really not care about Charles?Does he not love as much as he claims?Is he is the reason Charles was dying? How can he even think about other recognising Charles when Charles was dying? What if Charles die because they couldn't take him to the hospital in time ? Because he was being a jerk and caring about Charles getting recognised when all he should have cared about was to take him to the hospital.'Erik thought.
After 30 minutes,Kurt woke up and teleported them to home to change and then to the hospital. Logan heard about Charles from Scott and he said he was coming from Scotland as soon as possible. When the all the x-men came to the hospital, they saw wanda was crying in Peter's arms whose eyes were bloodshot. Raven ran to them and embraced them.
"How is Charles?" Raven said hoping that Charles was alright.
"Mo..mom's h...heart st...sto..." wanda couldn't continue anymore as she burst into more tears. Raven eyes filled with tears and she looked at peter.
"Mom's heart stopped beating twice and the doctors said they can't say when he will wake up." Peter said trying hard not to breakdown.
" T..the D...Doctor s..said I.. if we were a li..little l...late , h..he w..would h..have be..been d..dead b..by n..now." wanda said sniffing.
Erik was standing behind raven like a zombie. When he heard the twins saying that Charles heart stopped twice and he would have been dead now if peter didn't take him to the hospital at that moment, Erik's world starts crushing. 'It's me, I , all the problem is me. Everyone l loved is taken away from me by others or by my own foolishness. I can't stand before Charles anymore. I left him to die twice when he saved my life every fucking time. I don't deserve him . I don't deserve this family. I don't deserve anything. I need to leave. Only if I leave, they would live a happy life.' Erik thought as he turned and left the hospital before taking a last look.

It has been a year since Charles woke up from being in coma for 3 months. The very moment Charles woke up ,he started to look for Erik. Hank, raven and logan were very angry at him for looking for Erik as soon as he woke up and told him that Erik didn't even care for him. That Erik was ready to let him die there instead of taking him to the hospital. Charles tried to defend Erik saying he tried to do what was necessary for all at that moment. But deep down he felt his heart was tightened when he got to know that Erik left him that day to fight for his life again. Alone and Broken. He did the one thing he promised he wouldn't do. He broke his promise and abandoned Charles again. Left him imprisoned in his own dark mind cell .
