CHAPTER 6
"You ever seen this many Kooks in one place?" Suzy, Juls and Kie stood beside Pope.
"Yeah. Last year."
"We're in the lion's den." Kie glanced at Kelce fixing Topper's tie. "Hey have you heard from JJ?" Pope asked Juls while putting his apron on. "Nope." She sighed. "He'll be all right. He's got the survival instincts of a cockroach." Juls gave him a weak smile.
Suzy shivered. "I hate cockroaches."
"I bet you she's gonna poke someone's eye with that." Pope pointed at Rose's pointy crown.
Suzy walked over to Sarah almost immediately. "Suzy! Oh my god that dress is stunning!"
"Thanks! It's itching me a lot though. You look amazing!" She pointed at her white dress and her flower crown.
"Hey Sarah, can we talk?" They both rolled their eyes at Topper and walked away, giggling.
"Asshole."
Suzy gasped and hit Sarah's shoulder. "I can't believe you just said that!" Sarah sighed. "Look, I really hit it off with John B yesterday. I don't know what to do! Besides, I heard what he did to JJ and Pope. I'm really sorry."
"It wasn't your fault. Hold on, were you guys together the whole day?" She nodded and squealed, crouching in front of her to sip on her wine. "Oh my god did you guys-"
Someone tapped on Sarah's shoulder. "JJ?" She turned around to face him. "Holy shit JJ!" Suzy whispered and hugged him as tight as she could.
"Hey Sarah, I got a note from Vlad." He gave her a piece of paper and danced around with Suzy to blend in. "Just read the note." He winked at the two of them and left.
"Who the fuck is Vlad?" Suzy smiled at Sarah.
JJ walked over to Juls and gave her a glass of water.
"One glass of water for Miss-"
"Holy shit!" Juls jumped on JJ. "No fucking way!" He ruffled her hair. "Yeah well-"
Rafe grabbed him by the shoulders and turned him around. "I'm wondering, if you could get me a mai tai, my friend."
"Yeah Pogue, make that two."
"Well I'm on the clock right now, you guys look spiffy! You know I got a couple orders ahead of you, so why don't you guys just go ahead and wait by the bar? Till then, help yourselves to some hors d'oeuvres." He ran inside, pushing one of the chairs to block their way.
He ran into the locker room, looking for a place to hide.
"Hey, man what you doing in the locker room?!" Rafe pushed him towards Kelce who started choking him. "Hey, keep his head still. I'm gonna line this up-"
"Very Rafe of you. Five on one?" His vision slowly started blacking out. "Okay if you could please stop talking it's very disrespectful when I'm trying to hit a ball." JJ spit on his face.
"Gentlemen!" The guard flickered the lights. "Is there a problem here?" Kelce let go of JJ. "Pardon me, officer. There's not an issue. Actually yes! No, there is an issue. We got a criminal trespass in progress here. Beep! Call it in right! Blatant disrespect for private property. I'm in violation for all kinds of shit, but these, young gentlemen here, were about to take me away. And that's what you should do. Escort me out of here." He held both of his arms up for him to take.
The guard grabbed him and took him away. "You Powerpuff Girls have fun!"
"Tell Suzy she looks pretty hot for a Pogue!"
JJ scrambled out of the guard's grip and ran to Rafe, attempting to pounce on him.
"Hey safe travels back to the cut!"
"Don't say shit about her ever again!" They walked back out.
"Let him go!" Juls yelled at them. "Let him go, I invited him here!" JJ pushed him away. "Hey mandatory power hour at Rixon's Juls! You too Kie and Suzy! Pope you as well right? Let's roll!" JJ held Juls in her arms as he spun her around.
