What If: Petra Had Lived

My Time Has Come

This wasn't the situation Petra thought she would find herself in.

Yet here she was sitting face to face with her enemies, sharing stew.

Her Captain was a shell of himself. After the bloody battle for Paradis, Petra, Jean and Onkyonkapon had found themselves in the presence of the cart Titan and a Marley General.

With them was Commander Hange and lying  beaten and broken, was Captain Levi.

In a way Petra felt a sense of justice, but it also was incredibly painful to see him like that.

So here they were. Traitors among friends, friends among traitors.

Hange was helping Levi eat, which warmed Petra's heart a bit.

Sasha was already making her way to the pot for seconds, her hunger making her oblivious to the growing tension in the air. Connie wouldn't look at Falco.

Petra noticed that Annie refused to make eye contact with her. She was wondering if Annie remembered her.

Petra hadn't forgotten. Ever since she learned the identity of the female Titan she would spend hours thinking what she would do if she ever came out of that crystal.

Now her was her chance. But all she could do was stare.

"Petra, I'm sensing there is some tension between you and Annie" Yelena said cooly.

"It's none of your business"

"Oh but I know more than you think"

Annie looked up, her face had no expression.

"Eren told me all about it, the poor girl lost her friends, her lover...not being able to do an thing"

Petra felt the anger rising in her.

"Now she sits here sharing a meal...even your captain doesn't have the strength to say anything..."

That was it, the snapping point. It was like Petra blacked out.

Before she realized it she was on top of Annie, punching furiously.

"You b*tch!! You cold hearted b*tch!"

Blood spurt from Annie's nose.

"Do you know how many scouts died because of you! You took everything from me...how dare you sit here like you've don't nothing wrong", Petra screamed through the tears.

Annie was as trying to shield her face, but Petra let the anger that had been inside her for 5 years come out. She wanted Annie to hurt.

"F*ck you!"

Petra felt a pair of arms reach around her.

"Petra enough" Hange was trying to pull her off.

"Do you know how your friend died while you hid behind your crystal wall. When Reiner abandoned him. He begged for his life, like the f*cking cowards you all are!" Petra screamed. "But at least he seemed to have some remorse for his actions"

Petra had wrestling away from Hange, lunging after Annie again.

She got one good punch, before someone tried to grab her.

Not thinking she threw her elbow into the person's stomach.

"Gabi!"

Petra suddenly froze, and turned around.

Gabi was lying on the forest floor, gripping her stomach. Sasha and Falco rushed towards him.

"G-Gabi..."
