The Test

They knew something was wrong

The day my friendships were tested

Tears in my eyes told the whole story

Long and sad with untold sorrows

The ones who came straight to my side

Are the ones I could count on

Someone with hair as dark as chocolate

Had shared her hurt behind her glasses

A tale of long insufferable sadness

I know she will forever,Share it all with me

My dearest friend

A fragile little china doll

I could tell her all my secrets

We exchange stories of pain

I know I can trust her

The day goes on

My tearstained face turns several heads

Only a few look back, concernedI can only trust those few

But I don't know yet, who they are

There's one friend who would take a bullet

She has my back, I just know it

If I frown, she'll ask what's the matter

A bond so strong she'll tell no secrets

I know I can tell her why I cry

Others, who I know, I trust no more

The lesson I learned that day I will forever carry

Who I have faith in, I know for certain,

Some, I will never believe in
