"Woo, uncle asked me to tell you they're coming home."
I heard Yunho say, making me blast up from my bed and start cleaning every area of my room. I know I needed to do things for them to trust me. Then maybe, just maybe, they'll allow me to continue my studies here.
"They will know that you're just faking it, Woo." Yunho sits down on my bed and teases me.
"Shut up," I reply, then toss a pillow towards him.
Our bickering stops when we hear the doorbell ringing, signaling that there's someone at our gate. We stand and walk towards my window and see Mom and Dad's car entering the gate.
I immediately go down and welcome them with a big smile. I walk towards Mom and give her a peck on her cheeks, then to dad that offers a fist bump.
"Mom, Dad, let me help you with your things, I'll bring them upstairs."
"I know what you're trying to do, my dear son." Mom raises one of her brows and looks at me suspiciously. While dad starts laughing and signals that we should sit on our sofa.
"You're busted," Yunho whispers before turning towards Mom and Dad. "Uncle Nickhun, Aunt Tiffany, I'll just go outside and let you guys talk."
"Okay, Yunho. Take care, hon," Mom bids goodbye to him.
"So," Dad says, eyeing me. "What do you want, young man?" He asks, looking at me.
"Mom, Dad, I really want to continue my studies here," I say while pouting and giving them my cutest dog eyes.
"Jung Wooyoung," mom starts, "I'm sorry, baby. But I think, I can't trust you with this one," she continues.
"But why?" I ask, but Mom just looks at me. I turn to Dad and look at him with a pleading tone, "Daaaaad ~"
"Sorry, Woo. But I'm on your mom with this one," Dad replies while patting my hands.
"But why?" I stand and stomp my feet on the floor. I can feel tears slowly building up in my eyes as I look at them.
"Baby, don't you remember that you almost repeat two subjects? I don't know if I can't ensure that you will not do the same here."
"But Mom, I will do my best. I promise." I hold her hand to encourage her. "You can ask Yunho to look after me."
"Woo, we can't trust Yunho with that. You're buddies. You'll just cover each other," Dad replies.
I glare at him and look at Mom, "Our maids can also look after me." I smile at Mom.
Mom sighs and looks at Dad. While dad shakes his head and says, "No, Woo. They're scared of you; they won't tell me anything."
I put my lips and sit angrily on the sofa. "But I promise Sangie that I will not leave him again," I say while wiping my tears.
Mom looks at me and smiles at me. "Sangie? You mean Yeosang, right? You're childhood sweetheart?"
"Mom~" I whine as I look at her with tears in my eyes.
"Okay, don't look at me like that, Wooyoung," Mom says.
Dad reaches for Mom's hands and rubs them. "Fine," he says, "but only because I trust Yeosang."
I look at Mom as she wipes the dry tears on my cheeks. "Don't cry, baby. We know how important Yeosang is to you. But don't you think you need a partner? Do you want me to set you up with my friends' daughters?"
I snicker and reply, "I'm gay, Mom."
She laughs and wraps her hands on my shoulders, "I know. Do you want to meet my friend's son? They also live here, the Choi family.
"You mean Uncle Minho and Aunt Yoona, right?"
She nods, "So, you know their son? Choi San?" She asks.
"Yeah. He's my rival, Mom." I stand and look at both. "Mom, Dad, I like Yeosang. I think you both know that." I pout and am about to go upstairs when I hear my Dad saying, "We know honey." I turn back at them and smile.
They both smile at me before saying, "Invite Yeosang later at dinner. We miss him."
I nod and start sprinting toward my room to prepare before going to Yeosang.
