Aurora:
Throughout my life, ever since I was just an infant, I had experienced very vivid nightmares; some I did not know what it had meant until just now; some, I still do not have an answer to; but some of my nightmares, well… let's just say that there are things that I cannot really describe.
But, there is a certain dream in particular where I was confronted by what would later become one of my greatest enemies to have ever lived.
And this is the story.
I was having trouble sleeping the night upon learning that there was a potential minatory threat in the forest. I kept on tossing and turning in bed over and over, hoping to try and get some peaceful rest.
I later found myself in the dark abyss once again, but this time, I was alone. I called out: "Hello! Anyone there?"
No respond; nothing more but dead silence. But then, I began to hear things– whispers even, very bothersome whispers; they kept on saying things such as "The Insolence calls to you." Or "Be careful of who you trust." Over and over again and again numerous times! God, please, make it stop! I begged. These whispers continued for a terrible seventeen minutes until I eventually found the strength to snap out of it and yelled: "Enough games, whoever you are! Show yourself at once and face me like you really mean it!"
Very well then, young one. A deep voice said from within the abyss. The mysterious entity then appeared right in front of me; the figure in particular looked to be around seven feet tall wearing a purple suit, a red bowtie, a purple top hat with an orange band around it and a purple and orange flower, white gloves, black shoes, brown hair with an orange tip, and a black and orange eye while the other eye was covered up, he had strings around with wooden handles attached to the strings above him, similar to what marionettes use to control their puppets to display puppet shows for people. "I must say, Aurora, all those whispers you heard seemed to bother you until you demanded for all of it to stop and to show myself." He said in a mauvais tone of voice. I began to back away soon after, horrified by his appearance. "Who– who are you? What are you, even? And how do even know my name?" I asked. I could feel my heart pounding faster than usual, my adrenaline rushing through my body and skin going pale with sweat emerging from all over my body; I was scared for my life.
"I know many things, even a person's name or even their greatest fears at that." He said.Aurora: "That doesn't answer my question as to who you are!"
Figure: "All right, I'll tell you. I go by many names such as 'The Entity', 'The Iniquitous One', or for some, 'The Insolence Overseer'. But I am sometimes called 'TIO' by many."
Aurora: "And just why are you here, TIO?"
TIO: "I have come to make a deal with, young one. A brave and valiant young warrior like you who most certainly takes after her own mother could truly help me in my cause. So, what do ya say? Care to join me?"
I looked at him, his one eye blazing with temptation. I then replied to him by saying: "Hell no!"
TIO: "I see. Care to tell me why?"
Aurora: "You look like the type of demon who would try and trick people into helping them out with whatever it is, only to see what their plans actually involve. And I will never join you to help you with your so-called 'cause'. And also, how the hell do you know who my mom is?"
TIO: "Tis a long story, but let's just say she once helped me, but she does not anymore. I can see where you get your courage and strength from. But weren't you just sweating earlier?"
Aurora: "That's none of your concern! And keep my family's name out of your pothole, you bastard!"
TIO: "Fine! But I leave with only one thing: Be aware that there's a sinister threat in the forest, but it's best if you leave that threat alone. Or else…"
Aurora: "Or else what?!"
TIO: "There will be serious consequences."
Aurora: "Like what?"
He disappeared without answering my question which I would come to learn more about. But then I saw the image of an black eye with yellow-orange ring around with a black pupil in the center and white marking on that same exact pupil that looked like a question mark–it startled me so much that I woke up and found myself back in reality; in my bedroom, inhaling and exhaling in panic with my whole face and body covered with sweat, I then plopped down and looked my ceiling. "Welp, there goes half of my sleep." I said.
Whenever I wake up from a nightmare, I tend to find to hard to fall back asleep again. But that night, I had decided to try and do so with all of my best efforts. While at first, I saw this to be just another plane old nightmare, I would later learn that this nightmare in particular, would be the beginning of something evil– menacing even.
