Aurora:
The next morning I felt slightly tired, but in spite of this, I still decided to go out to forest with my friends. I spoke not a single word to my family about my encounter with the strange figure.
…
When we got to the forest, Jemma came up to me. "Aurora, I was wondering if Bella and I could trade places for the day." She wondered."Well, of course." I said. "But mind telling me why?"
She then looked at me and whispered: "I need to speak with you when you're not busy."
I did not say anything at the moment and went on.
…
Once we got to the forest, we went to our assigned Divisions; only this time, Bella took Jemma's place. All right, let's get this over with. I told myself.
…
Our day went on as normal, except instead of hunting patrols, I had set up tracking patrols in order to make sure that the territories we're not marked by any loners.
When I sent a patrol of five animals that would take on the west side in which Chief CrimsonPelt decided to go on, Jemma came up to me. "Aurora," she said, "do you have the time to talk?"
"I do now." I said. "Okay, that's good. Follow me." She said. But before I left, I went to go and inform BlueFire about the patrol and how I needed to talk with Jemma. "Of course." He said. "Go right ahead, but don't take too long."
"We won't." I promised. I then turned and walked to Jemma as she led me to the entrance of the camp. Once we were far away from the camp, I looked at her and asked: "What is it you wanted to me, Jemma?"
She bit her lip and hesitated for a moment, as if she was trying to think of what to say. Then she asked me: "Do you ever have the feeling like you're being watched?"Aurora: "Well, at times we have that feeling and it's sometimes true."
Jemma: "I know that, but this is different. Like, have you ever felt like there was something or perhaps even someone watching your every move day by day?"
Aurora: "Well, kinda. But not really. Why did you want to talk with me about this anyway?"
She did not respond to me at that moment, but before long she said: "I've been… hearing things; seeing things, even."
Aurora: "What? What do you mean by that, Jemma?"
Jemma: "When we visited the Night Runners Division, I saw this… figure of sorts; he seemed to be around seven feet tall with brownish skin and he was wearing a purple suit, a purple top hat with an orange band around it, white gloves, black shoes, he had brown hair with an orange tip, and black and orange eyes. He also had strings around with wooden handles attached to it, like what puppeteers would use to control those creepy string puppet thingamabobs."
I was horrified by the description that she had given me and I then asked in a horrified voice: "Don't tell me, you've seen him, too?"
Jemma: "Him? What do you mean by that, 'Rora?"
Aurora: "Last night, I met him in a dream, hence as to why I look so tired right now; many people call him, 'TIO', or 'The Entity', 'The Iniquitous One', or in many cases; 'The Insolence Overseer'. Are you saying he visited you in one of your dreams as well? If he did, then why didn't you tell Sadie, she's your sister, or even me? Or even Summer, or any of us at that?"
Jemma: "Well, no. Not yet, but thanks for your concern. But I began hearing things at the Night Runners Division and not that long ago when I was helping out the Sun Chasers, I began to hear even more whispers with things such as: 'The Insolence calls to you'. Which was the main thing I kept on hearing over and over."
Aurora: "Well, what else did hear aside from just that one sentence?"
Jemma: "Well, I also heard: 'The Insolence watches over and punish all wrongdoers and their offspring for lifetimes till death shall do its part in life'. Don't know what that's supposed to mean, but I think it could be something bad or possibly even life-threatening if so."
Aurora: "I think it means that those who committed crimes in their life will be haunted and even their children up until the day they die."
Jemma: "We best be on the lookout for that. I'm sharing this with you because you're one of my closet friends."
Aurora: "I know that, but you do know that we can't just keep this a secret amongst ourselves. We'll have to tell this to someone we know that can be trusted with whatever."
Jemma: "I know. Guess I'll tell this to my sister."
Aurora: "Well, if you say so. But the others are going to have to know about this at some point."
Jemma: "All right, but for now let's just concentrate on what we're currently doing."
Aurora: "Sounds good."
We then went back to the Forest Spirits Division and continued on with our duties. But of course, our friends would have to know about this as well, sooner or later.
