Heaving a deep breath, she took her steps out of the suffocating place finally after so many days.
Pessimistic thoughts keep clouding her mind but she has decided to give it a try.
She just hopes that the store manager would let her do her job and wouldn't kick her out. She desperately needs that job.
"Hey!"
She jumped in her place, instantly turning around at the shock of the sudden voice.
Her hand went to her heart while the boy in front of her couldn't help but heartedly laughed at her amusingly shocked expressions.
"Did I startle you?"
She reluctantly shook her head, cautiously looking around the place to see if anyone saw her. She's still not that far away from the mansion.
"Remember, you promised me something?", Taehyung asked while she reluctantly shook her head making him narrow his eyes.
"You're backing out from your words, aren't you?"
Not being able to take his criticizing gaze, she turned around, continuing on her steps.
"Didn't think you were the kind to back out from your promise.", he casually commented walking by her side.
She stayed quiet.
"Are you going back to the grocery store?", he asked which made her turn towards him.
The anxious expressions on her face made him smirk.
"She didn't seem much pleased with your absence all these days.....", he continued making her panick in worry.
"A-And?", her voice wavered.
He paused for a moment licking his lips in anticipation.
Her doe eyes anxiously stayed focused on him.
"And.... nothing. I explained to her that you're sick these days and can't come. On my insistence she agreed to not to hire anyone else. It means you can still continue working.", he smiled making her smile brighter.
