"You lied to me Adelinda. " He said while avoiding her eyes , turning back and continuing walking away from her

You know they say

If you love someone you have to let go for their happiness.

Luckily Adelinda don't give a shit about that thinking.

"Ryle listen to me please . Give me a chance to explain please . " She said  running towards him ignoring the heavy rain .

He needs to listen.
He has to.

"I know you think I was playing with your mind but I was not . I will never hurt you just -" She was cut off when he turned at her looking at her.

She didn't know if it was tears or rain but one thing was the hurt in Ryle's eyes  was visible.

It was like someone stabbed her with a knife and twisted it looking on those hurt and vulnerable eyes

"You have already hurt me enough is there something still left in me to be hurt. " He said. 

For the first time Adelinda Blackwood flinched in her life because of someone's words.

She has lost her mother, her best friend but nothing compared to the pain she was feeling now.

"Ryle please just give me a- " She started but was again cut off.

"It was my mistake I trusted you. "

She knows Ryle what he is doing. He is pushing her away. Running away from the heart ache he thinks he will suffer from.

Unknown to them a truck was coming toward them in full speed. Maybe it's the heavy rain pouring down The driver was drunk and did not see them until he was almost in front of them blowing horn.

They both turned towards the noise but it was too late .

*crash*

Day - 1 (Emmerson Birthday)

"Their was no need for that gift you know."

I resisted rolling my eyes and turned towards Ryle who was looking at me already.

"Trust me it was just like taking a bucket of water from sea. " I said while drinking coke and before he can say anything I give a glass from table beside me and forced the cup in his hand and nodding towards the cup signalling him to drink  and take a chill pill.

"But she is a kid . You don't have to spend million dollars on anklets for Emmy. " Ryle continued.

This time I did not resist to roll my eyes and while keeping the eye contact I kissed his cheek and said

"She is now my daughter too. " I said but before he can say anything someone cleared his throat making us both turn.

I put a smile on my face for Atlas Corrigan and holded Ryle hand knowing  whatever the brunette will say it is no good.

"Thanks for coming to the party and for that gift. " Atlas said.

I am seriously gonna throw hands if anklets are mentioned again.

" I am saying for the last time Mr. Corrigan it was nothing. She is my daughter too. " I said while keeping the smile.

Something passed in Atlas eyes but it was gone before I can understand what it was.

"Atlas where...... " Lily said while walking towards but trailed off seeing us three.

I raised my one eyebrow at her in question of why the sudden silence of her.

The red- head and brunette shared a look for a second .

What was that? '

"I can't find paper cups so can you help Alyssa to find them? " Lily said making Atlas nodd and he went to 'help' to find paper cups.

I resist to sigh at this foolishness.

"I want to talk to you both . "

No shit Sherlock... You have made that clear by sending off Atlas..

"Sure" Me and Ryle both said together. I took notice that kitchen is empty now and now it's only us.

"We want to take Emmy on a trip. Just me  , Emmy and Atlas. " Lily said while keeping a small fake smile. I turned to see Ryle reaction.

"Your point? " Ryle asked with furrowed eyebrows. Lily raised her eyebrows at the easy sounded voice of Ryle.

"You are okay with this? " She asked as if she was waiting for a fit. Knowing her now, she did not accept the coolness in Ryles voice.

I felt pride in me and i try not to smirk in victory and dance in happiness.

"Why wouldn't I be? Just tell me when you will go . " Ryle said making her eyes wide a little but she tried to cover it up.

Go Ryle show her.

"Lily she is your daughter too and I will not stop you from taking her anywhere. " Ryle continued and before she could say anything he started dragging me out .

I waited for us to reach in parking and i turned him around towards me. He raised his eyebrows at sudden move but before he can say anything I wrapped my shoulders around his shoulder.

"I am so proud of you. You did well " I said and i can fell his arms around my waist and his attempt to control his breathing.

"Not even God can tell how proud of you I am now. We have reached here so just believe in yourself. " I continued and i can feel his shoulder shaking and my shoulder getting wet in his tears.

It's just starting . He will be no broken man he consider himself and he will again learn to love and be the best dad for his daughter and I am not gonna leave him.

I will do anything for this man too get his smile again....
