I looked above from my magazine which I was reading and looked in chocolate brown eyes which were looking at me with curiousity.
Sometimes I hate lying to him but I know he is not ready to hear the ugliness of my truth.
"Ryle I do therapy sessions of people because I like helping people " Lie rolled off from my tongue like I am introducing myself.
"If I want I can do nothing but stay at home and my coming generation will still have enough money for life. " I added.
Well, for outside world Blackwood family has the biggest and strongest business but it's is just a coverage for our real work.
We deals in drugs, weapons and someone times online hacking. Our main work is illegal but who cares about it.
One have to only read carefully that law is nothing but a facade to make citizen a feel of security.
"I feel like I can't think anyone will be working if you have strongest and biggest business company. " Ryle said gliding his hand and in his jet black hair.
"Been Googling me Mister Kincaid " My lips little bit tugged up at little but noticeable red tint on his cheeks.
"Um... I... " He trailed off when he saw my smirk.
"You are messing with me. " He stated while playfully glaring at me.
I chuckled at look at him.
"You just have to ask Ryle and I would have told you everything." "Everything? " He asked raising his single eyebrow.
"The thing which are necessary Neurosurgeon " I said tried and failed to keep out my dark tone of my voice .
Something passed in those chocolate eyes before he turned away from me.
"You can rest in the bedroom we have around 6 hour flight. " I said while taking my phone and keeping my eyes on it .
I heard him sigh but he didn't move from the seat in front of him.
"Do I need to something about this event and your family? "
Yes!! They are very excited to meet you, want to grill you that how I ended up with you.
"Well....I will be truthful to you. This event is more like a Gala but their will be a competition. "I said.
" What competition? "
I resist a sigh and continued.
"As I said I need the family inheritance and for that I needed a man but also I need to make few major deals in business so that I can be capable. "
This is partially true.
I am already the owner of family inheritance but I need to make few drugs and weapons deal .
"This Gala is different because their we will be bidding on few art pieces too. " I added.
"Art peices? "
"Yeah like paintings "
He is thinking, of course .
"Got it. I wanted to talk to you about-"
He was cut off by ringtone of his phone making us turn towards it.
Someone was Face timing him.
Am instant smile came on his face making me intrigued of who is the person.
"It's Marshall I told him to face time him when Emmy come to them. "
Oh.
I remember him telling me that the couple had a picnic with Emmy and before his trip to LA he cannot meet Emmy - not wanted to disturb their time ( his words).
No matter what Ryle said. I knew he wanted to meet Emmy before coming to LA.
I didn't realize he have picked up the call until I heard a giggle.
I smiled seeing Ryle smile at Emmy.
The smile he is wearing is just for Emmy and i know that making my smile fell. Not because I am jealous or something that he have a particular smile for his daughter but because.......
I don't remember when my dad smiled at me.
I am not saying he is only at fault. I am too because whenever I see those green eyes I can't remember any care , sadness, love just a coldness when I last had a conversation with him.
"She is gone. "
Not one sign of remorse in those eyes.
From that day I have never clearly talked to Adam Blackwood.
And I think I will keep it that way no matter I longed for a father love.
Too much bad memories are attached to those green eyes.
