I woke up in a panic dripping sweat. I had a nightmare about what happened the other night with the car. I still can't understand what happened. I clearly remember dying after being hit by the car twice. I looked at my alarm clock next to my bed. It said it was after five in the morning. I slowly got out of bed and turned my alarm off so it wouldn't go off later. I went to take a quick shower to clean off the sweat. I went back to my bedroom to grab some clean clothes to change into. I went for some skinny jeans, a Metalica T-shirt, sneakers, and my black leather jacket. I cooked up some eggs and bacon before leaving early for school. I grabbed some of the spaghetti I made last night for brunch today.
I checked to make sure I had everything in my car for tryouts after school today. Once everything was set I headed off to school. When I got there I parked in my usual parking spot and waited again. I blared some music to pass the time. Grabbing my phone I decided to look up the closest movie theater and their show times and dates. They're showing Total Recall at about eight o'clock tonight. I'll go after tryouts and groceries. I jumped when someone knocked on my window. I rolled the window down as fast as I could since it was the kind you had to do by hand, I didn't mind though. I turned my music down.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Is this your car?" a guy asked whom I'd never seen before. He was tall with short dark brown hair and hazel eyes and had a beard starting to grow. He looked hot and it threw me off for a moment.
"Yes this is my car otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here with all my stuff in the back seat," I said a little too sarcastically. Not very often did I get guys that believed me when I said it was mine.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean you offend you."
"No, I'm sorry. I get a lot of guys that don't believe me when I say it's mine because I'm a girl," I rolled my eyes and sighed. Misogynistic pricks.
"Well people shouldnt always assume, should they?" he said with a raised eyebrow.
"No, but I've been used to it for a while now." I turned my car off and decided to get out of my car for a bit. "My name is Jade, Jade Dusk," I said holding out my hand.
"I'm Derek, Derek Hale," he said smiling and shaking my hand back. We both gave very firm and hard shakes with a little more strength from both of us than I usually do.
"So do you go here?"
"No, not anymore," he said with a little laugh.
"Ah, I just moved here a few days ago."
"Where do you live before?"
"East Coast."
"I see. What brought you all the way here?"
"To get away from my past, plus there's nothing left for me there anymore." I hadn't noticed people were piling in already. I saw Scott and Stiles come my way. "Hey guys," I said waving at them.
"You know these two?" Derek asked me.
"Yea, they were the first to introduce themselves to me on my first day."
"Hey, Jade. What are you doing here Derek?" Scott turned from me to him quickly. He seemed confused about why he was here.
"I came to talk to you real quick." Derek pulled Scott off to the side quickly.
"So tryouts are today huh?" I attempted to make small talk with Stiles. But all I could hear was Derek and Scott talking, I shouldn't be able to.
'Do you know who she is?' Derek asked.
'Not entirely why?'
'Well find out and let me know because something doesn't seem right. I found a fresh pool of blood in the middle of the road the other night. It smelled different, I don't know what exactly. But the blood smells exactly like her.'
