2nd POV:
After unloading all that was going to the dump site and separating what was going to the attraction, you were on your way home with, now, your animatronic. You mostly went through what you were going to do with him, how you were going to clean him without damaging any hardware, and–more importantly–where the hell were you going to put him??
You pulled into your driveway, turning your truck to back to the garage. The fun thing about your house was that it used to be an old barn–from when, you weren’t sure. After renovation turned the barn into a full house, only half of the lower floor was turned into a shop or studio. On the lower floor was the kitchen with a large pantry, bathroom, barroom, great room(just an open area with whatever you want in it, honestly), and laundry room; on the upper floor was two bedrooms, another bathroom, sitting room, hobby room, and the master bedroom, with a bit of the sitting room being open around the stairway for a sort of lofted effect. You didn’t have to worry about the seven foot animatronic rabbit being seen by neighbours considering there were trees everywhere around your house, a good bit of land, and a tall fence around your property line.
Enough about the house, though, as you’re home. You put the truck in park and hopped out, going around the back of it to open the barn doors. As you were unlocking the bolt keeping them closed, you heard shifting behind you. Quickly, you shot up and turned towards the noise, finding the eyes of the rabbit suit looking at you and its leg folded as though it were going to stand. You maintained eye contact with it for a few moments before you went back to unlocking the bolt and getting the doors open. After a few seconds, you got it off and swung the doors open, setting the bolt and lock in a hanging basket right inside on the wall.
You turned back to the bed of the truck, hopping up on it while keeping an eye on Springbonnie. You noticed that his eyes never seemed to leave you, which was quite unnerving. Those grey-yellow eyes watched you as you slowly approached, crouching by its side. You maintained eye contact, staying silent and listening for the normal sounds of the suit running. The faint sound of fans going confirmed your suspicion that it’d turned on sometime between leaving the pizzeria and getting here, “Somehow you still work, huh?” You whispered, wanting to test how much still worked, “That’s surprising, seeing as you look like you crawled right out of fresh hell,” its ears perked, causing you to chuckle, “Either that was perfect timing or you have some form of audio recognition.”
Wanting to investigate more, you picked up the suit hand, “Still fucking massive,” you muttered while testing movement of the joints. This proved nearly futile, as the black-red substance coating the metals made every joint stick. You moved the wrist, elbow, and shoulder joint, finding the shoulder to have the most mobility. This process was continued with the other arm and the legs as much as you could with Springbonnie already being in a seated position. “Well, massive and fucked up, you are,” the suit’s face went deadpanned, looking at you as if he’s fed up with you, “Don’t look at me like that, I’m not the one who got blockaded in a tiny room for who knows how long.” You huffed and stood, going back towards the barn. In order to get the animatronic from the truck, you grabbed a sturdy looking rope and hopped back up on the bed. Though, what you saw stalled you for a moment.
Springbonnie had moved. He was leaned forward ever so slightly, causing you to grab a flashlight and turn it on to get a better look at the stained animatronic. You crouched down again, his eyes following you as you gently pushed him back with a hand on his chest. At first, he didn’t budge, then he slowly returned to leaning against the truck cab. You heard what sounded like a sigh come from him, only causing you to give him an even more confused face. With the flashlight, you were able to see more detail in the suit. You focused on his chest, looking at the tears in the faux fur where metal and something else could be seen underneath. Cautiously, you raised a hand and lightly touched an open spot on the left side of his chest. It felt… tough, and hard, yet not smooth like metal.
