A MARRIAGE TORN ASUNDER

CHAPTER 6

KEUS WAS a good businessman. With all that he got from both of his parents, masasabing nasa kanya na ang lahat. He can get whatever he wants and take whatever he needs.

Pero hindi gano’n ‘yon para kay Keus.

Bilang nag-iisang tagapag-mana ng pamilya, hindi lang pressure at criticism ang nilalabanan niya, kundi pati ang sarili niyang mga plano at pangarap.

And being a heir of such prominent family, can’t guarantee that you could really achieve your goals.

“My son will walk next to his father. He will soon hold the company. So he must learn the inside-out of the company.” His mother announced.

He can say that he isn’t that good son for his parents. Hindi rin niya maitatanggi na ilang beses na rin siyang sumuway sa mga ito, pero ibang usapan ang planadong buhay niya pagdating ng kolehiyo.

His mother have drawn his future without asking if he has other plans after he graduate in high school.

But who is he to demand?

Walang ibang aasahan sa pamilya para magpatuloy kundi siya lang.

Well, that was before he had met this freshly graduate girl who he accidentally bump with in the bar.

It had been long since he reminisce his past with Eunice. Kung paanong naalala niya ang babaeng ilang taon rin niyang naging stalker sa ilang taon niyang pamamalagi sa eskwelahan.

But he had never thought that it will end up like this.

Nasa labas siya ngayon ng kwarto ng asawa. Ni hindi niya magawang sumilip man lang sa asawa ng kwarto nito nang marinig niya boses ni Eunice mula sa nakaawang na pinto.

“I will forgive you today. But you must promise not to leave Tita Eunice ever again, okay?” Pakikinig ni Keus sa pagka-usap ni Eunice sa kawalan.

Para siyang tinakasan ng lakas ng mapagtantong hindi nga nagsisinungaling ang doctor nito.

“What did you do to him?!” Sigaw ni Keus nang makita si Dr. Gregant Sanchez na lumabas galing sa kwarto ng asawa niya.

“Aren’t I suppose to ask that question to you?” Kalmadong ani ng doctor sa kay Keus bago nito kinalas ang pagkakahawak sa kuwelyo niya.

Keus was fighting the urge to punch the doctor on the face. He doesn’t want to cause trouble here. So he sarcastically answer the doctor.

“Don’t play dumb with me‚ Sanchez! We both know she was with you all this time!” Galit na sigaw ni Keus.

“Hindi pa ba sapat ang ikabaliw niya ang pagiging pabaya mo?” Ani nito matapos na itulak ang asawa ng kanyo pasyente.

Wala nang pakialam si Gregant. Eunice already suffer too much from giving all that he got for this guy but getting nothing but heartaches in the end.

Dahan-dahan, Keus’ hands loose and his expression change from being mad to confusion.

“What do you mean?”

“Eunice is her situation worsen after she had a miscarriage when she and your first child was kidnapped three years ago.”

Miscarriage? Kidnapped?

Keus was having a hard time accepting everything that the doctor said.

Ayaw niyang maniwala, but seeing his wife lost her mind talking to his dead son in the wind, he can’t find anything to deny the truth.

“It was confirmed, Eunice was with Bryle that time. She suffered from different injurie—”
