(Emma's POV)

Killian and I walked down the stairs, to the diner below. Our hands were entwined, and we couldn't stop smiling. But, no matter how happy I felt right now; my chest was still heavy with anger. It was like I had something weighing me down, that only Killian could lift. I stopped him for a second, and gave him a quick kiss. I grabbed his good hand, and walked with him to the outside of Granny's. When we got there my parents were walking down the street. When they saw me they immediately ran over, and enveloped me in a hug, my mom's arms around me, and my dad had one arm around her, and the other on the back of my head.

"We were so worried! Are you alright?" Snow asked.

"I'm fine now mom." I answered I noticed her face light up as I called her mom, instead of Mary Margaret.

"What happened? It felt like a curse broke." David said looking completely confused.

"Well, it did- kind of- we broke the magic aspect of the Dark One's curse, so I have my light magic back." I explained. "However, the real problem is the actual darkness, which is still tethered to me. At least, until we find Merlin." I finished, looking at the ground. Killian pulled me closer to his side, giving me a small smile for comfort.

"And, how did you break it?" David asked glaring at Killian.

I was surprised at the flash of anger in my chest; I hadn't even noticed I stepped in front of Killian protectively. Killian pulled me back to him gently, and whispered "It's alright love, he just protective."

"I don't even know what got into me." I whispered back, and I buried my head in his chest, forgetting my parents were standing a few feet away.

"Emma, we understand. You have darkness trying to take over your heart," He placed our entwined hands over my heart, before continuing. "And, I am so proud of you for fighting it. Like I've said before; it's my job to protect your heart, and I'm choosing the light within it, not Rumple's darkness taking over it. Alright, Love?" He comforted me, and I nodded embracing him once more.

"I love you."

"And, I love you as well. No matter what happens." He answered.

(David's POV)

I listened to Emma, and Hook's exchange. Well I know how the curse was broken. I thought with a slight chuckle. That brought them out of their little moment -where they were in their own little world- and back down to earth. "True love's kiss." I stated. Everyone was smiling from ear-to-ear, and I was even surprised at what I did next. I hugged H-Killian, and said "Welcome to the family.". Emma's smile was worth the pride I had let go to accept Killian as Emma's... Nope, not ready to say it.

"Well, since some of us have finally swallowed our pride." Snow said with, a look directed at me. "How about Killian joins us for a family dinner." She finished. I simply nodded, and turned, walking with Snow back to the apartment.

"Do you think he'll take good care of her?" I asked looking back to Emma, and H-Killian -That's going to take some getting used to- who were laughing together, holding each other's hands, and walking down the street.

"I think he is the perfect one to take care of her. I mean just look at the way he holds her, or looks at her, or talks to her. He has changed from his whole pirate life, just to be with her." Snow answered, and I did look at them together, and what I saw really couldn't be described as anything, but love.

"I can't believe she's all grown up"

"I can't either, it seems like yesterday we put her in that wardrobe. But, before I knew she was my daughter, she was my best friend, and I can only try to support her. I mean, she is 29."

We arrived at the apartment, where Snow and Emma were in the kitchen making dinner.

...

When dinner was made we all sat down; Snow, And I were on one side, with Neal in his highchair. Emma was in-between Killian and Henry on the other side. Although they thought they were being subtle, I saw Emma holding Killian's hook underneath the table. After lots of terribly-concealed-under-the-table P.D.A. Killian finally acted. "Love, would you care to join me for a walk?" She quickly got up from her seat, and they left the apartment together.

(Emma's POV)

We were sitting at the dining room table. I had my hand resting on Killian's thigh, wrapped around his hook. When he asked me to go with him I had no hesitation, I wanted alone time to talk. We exited the loft together. When we got into the street I saw a familiar figure across the street; Regina. I didn't expect what happened next. A deep pang of anger rippled through me. I tried to suppress it -I really did. In fact, I fought so hard I stumbled a bit; I would have crashed to the ground if it hadn't been for Killian's arms. I didn't bother to look back at him; I didn't need him right now. I needed to get to her. And, when I did I lifted her up in the air -choking her with my magic- the light in the magic was trying to fight the darkness in my heart.

"This is your fault!" I was yelling, really mad at what she made me do. "Because of you I have this-this hate inside me! This has been your fault from the beginning; if you didn't seek out that idiot of a former author, this never would have happened!" She gasped for breath.

"E-Emma d..." She choked, then I felt a hook wrap around my arm, and I released her coming back to my senses. As I released her I realized what the darkness was doing, and I collapsed -everything went black as I felt myself being lifted into strong arms.

"Swan, don't do this. Don't let it win. You are a hero, deep inside you. Stay with me," He was whispering, I could hear that he was crying as he finished. "I love you."

Everything went black.

I know I'm evil but, this story needed action... and some feels. However, I did give you a really long chapter (over 1000, and it took me my whole day off to figure out what I wanted to do with this chapter!) Totally worth it. Keep reading, and ship on!
