(Killian's POV)

I promised my Swan I would work harder to find Merlin, and I was doing just that. I sat with Emma in the library. Emma and I were searching through Maine Phone Books for anyone named Merlin, and writing their phone numbers so we cold talk to them through the magic talking devices. Emma sighed; it was late, and she was clearly frustrated. I went wrap my arm around her shoulders, but before I could she stood up, slamming the book closed.

"What's the use Hook?" She yelled, slamming her fists against the wall. I was shocked at the use of my former moniker. I realized what was happening; she was having an episode of darkness. "We are never going to find him like this. Why did you let me do this? You should have stopped me! I can't believe you'd put me through this! You should just leave me like all the others!" She was screaming the words at me, and her voice was dripping with hatred.

"Emma, darling this isn't you." I told her calmly. I knew she didn't mean what she said, she didn't hate me. "I know this isn't you. And you know I would never, ever, leave you Swan. I adore you; now please come back to me, Love." I told her, and she walked to me with a pained and confused expression. Once she was close enough I wrapped my arms around her, and brought her flush against my body, burying my head in the crook of her neck. She goes limp, but before she can fall I picked her up bridal-style and set her on the table we were using to search through the large, heavy books. I take of my jacket, and fold it on top of one of the massive books. Turning them into a makeshift  pillow underneath her head.

Then, I grab my talking-phone out of my pocket, and click the button for Belle. She quickly answers, and her accented voice rings through the magical square device. "Hello, Killian. What can I do for you?" She asks.

"Well, Emma and I were looking for Merlin in phone books. But, that isn't getting us anywhere so far, there are too many to go through. So I need your help." I explained. "If you know any books that could even be remotely related to Merlin, or where we can find him, please bring them to the library." I told her.

"Sure I'll get them there in a few minutes." She said, and then hung up. I walked back over to Emma who looked to be sleeping peacefully, but I knew she was having a nightmare. It happened every time she passed out. I grabbed her hand, and gently kissed it.

"Emma, darling, are you alright?" I asked her, gently shaking her in an attempt to wake her. It didn't work, it never did. This made me worry even more. No matter how many times I'd seen my Swan like this it still made me scared, upset, and worried. Belle arrived a few minutes later with a large book in her hands accompanied by several others in a bag.

"There aren't any books specifically about Merlin." She told us sadly. "However I brought everything on the Dark One, which might tell us something." Then she set the books on the table next to Emma before checking to make sure she was okay. Then, she set the large book in her hands down.

(Belle's POV)

I set the book down; the heavy tome brought back unwanted memories. The cover was a dark purple color with silver scrollwork decorating it, and a ribbon hanging from the bottom with a bronze skull emblem. I remember when it was first shown to me by Lumiere. "The books in the bag are back up plans." I explained to Killian who had a confused look on his face. "This book is actually a hiding place." I said as I opened it, and took out the key inside. "This key unlocks the vault of the Dark One, it's what Neal, and I used to resurrect Rumple. However, if Emma unlocks the vault it will take us to where the first Dark One was made. There I think we can find the Sorcerer, or at least where to find him." I told Killian.

"Well where is this vault?" Killian asked.

"That's the problem. It's in the Enchanted Forest."
