Chapter Two: Vampires!

Adrian's POV

That girl! What drew me to her? The whole thing was his fault he smelt her and told Jared and Philipe dinner was close by.

"Adrian! We have to talk now!" Jared's voice rang through the house. Sighing I get up and goes to him.

"What's up Jared?" Sits across his desk trying to stay composed. "What's up? Adrian you spared not just one girls life but two other humans." He slams his first on the desk spitting some of the wood.

"Jared I'm sorry but I can't hurt her. When you bit her friend the pain she felt was tearing me apart." I get up and pace the room. Jared sighs standing up, "You know what that means right?" I shake my head curious to what he knows. "She's your soul-mate. Your other half."

What that can't be! I was a killer no one could hold me back but that damn girl stopped me with her eyes. "That's insane. Right?" He just shakes his head at me.

Jessica's POV

I go to move feeling something pull at my wrist. "That bastard!" I pull at them trying to get my hands out. Was he really a vampire? I hear a moan next to me and I see Zara and Chase and that's when it hit me. Last night really did happen and where were the others.

Chase wakes up and starts to freak out. "Jess what's going on?" He looks around then sees Zara. "Zara? Baby wake up let me know your ok!" "Chase calm down let her rest she needs it." He just glares at me like this is all my fault.

Several hours pass by when I hear a door open and close. I tense up then moves so I'm siting in front of Zara and Chase when he walks up.

He stands at the door looking at me through the bars. I look up and glare meeting his eyes. "Stop." His voice was full of authority that I did as he said, more like commanded.

"Where are my other friends?" In a cold hard voice I ask and I can tell he is surprised by the sound. My words hurt him I can see it in his eyes as they plead with me to understand.

"Where are they?" Asking again he opens the door walking straight to me. "La mia luna, my moon please do not hate me." My heart stops as he gets closer to me. He offers me his hand and I take it standing up my knees shake. Looking up into his eyes I know what happened, they were dead I'd never see them again.

Adrian's POV

Her pain kills me. Why does she look at me with those pain filled eyes? I crash her forcibly but gently into my chest wrapping my arms around her waist wanting to take the pain away.

I feel something warm dripping on my shirt, hearing her sobs I know she is crying. I lift her chin to look at me, "what is your name?" She takes a deep breath and tries to step away when the other girl sits up and screams bloody murder.

"Jessica!? Where are we?" The girl looks around and stops and the guy. "Chase? Chase! Oh god he's dead. Jess they killed the others." She walks over to her, " I know Zara, I know."

I clear my throat causing them to jump. "Will you come with me Jessica?" She stands kissing the girls cheek turning to me. "Like I have a choice." I chuckle, smiling down at her. "Your head strong la mia luna." She blushes when I call her that which makes me happy.

She stays quite most of the way until we stop at a door and she freezes. "I won't do it and you can't make me!" She trembles in fear and all I can do is cuss at myself. "I'm not going to harm you." She looks at me, "That's what all guys say." With those words I know she has a dark past but I push my anger back and opens office door. "Well sweetheart I'm not most guys." I give her a cocky grin taking off the cuffs. "After you Jessica."

She walks past me her scent filling my nose and I do everything I can to not grab her and make her mine. "What are we going to talk about?" She sits looking at me as I sit across her. "Well there's lots I want to talk about but I have to get business done first." She plays with one off pens listening carefully. "Go on then umm sir." I can't help but laugh at her calling me sir.

"Adrian is my name." She thinks about it for a moment then giggles at herself. "What's so funny my sweet?" She looks at me smiling, "I thought you'd have a manly name."

Shocked I look at her. "Manly huh? Do I not seem manly?" She looks at me and smiles, "Hmm well your body but your eyes show the boy you are at heart." Her words shake my entire being. Am I really that naïve of did this girl just see into my soul.

"I'm Wiccan, so even if you are the undead you are living and have a soul." She looks down and I sit there watching her. The door slams open causing her to jump and Philipe glares at her. Without thinking I jump and stand between him and her, growling protectively. "Adrian move aside!" My eyes go black and my fangs protrude from my mouth as I growl again stepping back to hide her from his view.

Jessica's POV

All I see is a blur when Adrian jumps in front of my shielding me from the guy I shot. "Just give her to me! I don't want to hurt you." Adrian growls at him and I jump terrified by the sound. I look up and pray to the goddess when the my lunged at Adrian.

Crashing of the lamp brings the third man coming into the room. He looks to me, "Darling please wait outside." I stand up when the two fight rush at me and I scream until the man at the door grabs the one who wants to hurt me.

Adrian grabs my and looks me over. "Sweetie are you ok?" I look into his eyes, "Yes, I'm ok are you ok?" Reaching up my hand I touch his busted lip. His eyes look soft at me as he smiles,"I'm fine." Takes my hand away stepping back looking away from him. "I want to go back to my friends." He looks at me with sad eyes then leads me back to the dungeon.
