Chapter Three: Out for Blood

Philipe's POV

Adrian dared to defy my command. That boy needed to learn his manners and I was going to show him by sinking my teeth into the neck of that girl. To my surprise he jumped between us and fought to protect her.

A hand grabs the back of my neck as I run to grab her. "Philipe that is enough go to my office." Jared commands me and as my maker I have to obey as I walk out Adrian takes the girl back to the dungeon. I make my way to his office I here Adrian arguing with the girl.

"Philipe that girl is off limits to you." Jared walks in shutting the door behind him. I laugh to myself, "Why is that she's a human and fair gain, plus she's a witch you can her power." He calmly walks over to his chair and sits down. He looks me in the eyes showing his vampire eyes, "She is his other half and even if she is a witch she will never know how to kill us nor will she because of him. Now do I make myself clear?" I nod afraid my voice will betray me.

I make my way out to the kitchen to get a bottle of blood. Adrain stops me half way, "I will kill you if you touch her!" I laugh and push past him looking at him over my shoulder, "Don't think Jared will protect you forever. One day he will pass and I will come for her then you."

He growls as I walk. Once in the kitchen I grab a bottle of O-Negative blood and go to my room. When the sunlight goes up I will go down to the dungeon and drink her blood till she is almost dry, barely hanging onto her life. Then we will see Adrian go insane.

Jessica's POV

Adrian brings me back to the dungeon where Zara and Chase are eating. "Jess we saved some food that you'll like." I walk in and sit down, "Thanks Zara." I eat a little of what they left me then shortly after I fall asleep.

The door opens and shuts as someone walks up to the holding cell. Hands roughly grab my biceps and yank me up. I go to scream when the hand covers my mouth. "Shh don't want to wake your friend do we?" His voice is right by my ear as I shake my head. "Good and don't worry it won't hurt.. Much." He laughs then sinks his fangs into my neck.

The pain is agonizing and burns as my blood is forced out of me. Tears roll down my cheeks and everything goes black as I fall to the ground. Zara's scream is all I hear as I slip into the darkness.

My body screams and burns as liquid flows into me. I focus on the slow steady beep near my head. "Chase I swear I will rip your head off if you keep saying that!" Adrian's voice brings me to open my eyes seeing white all around me. "It's your fault that Jess is barely alive and Zara is.." They walk in the door seeing me sitting up.

"Jess your awake." Chase smiles walking up to me. I look at him confused, "How long have I slept?" Adrian chuckles from the door way, walking up to my side, "Sweetie you've been stone cold for a week." I look at him and finally look around seeing all the tubes coming in and out of me. "W-wh-what happened?" My voice is shaky and low.

Adrian sighs and looks away at Chase, "Jessi, Philipe came in and attacked you and.." Adrian cuts him off, " And you have been asleep since." I grab my neck and feel the bandage and start to claw at it to rip it off. Adrian's hands grab mine, "Shh sweetie it'll be ok." A tear rolls down my cheek as the memories flood into my head.

Philipe's POV

Jared stares at me as I relax saying nothing. "Damn it Philipe do you not care?" I laugh siting up, "She's a f*cking witch how can you of all people let her live?" I knew that was a low blow but it was true witches were like the black plaque to vampires and Jared knew that first handed.

He slams his fists down on the table and his eyes turn red. "Jared I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that." He growls and walks out leaving me in his office. Well shit I've pissed him off but my lovely girl needs me. Smiling I get up and go to my room.

I hear slamming of objects inside the room. Damn the restraints broke. I open the door and look at her. "My my, you are beautiful," smiling I shut the door.
