Lucielle screamed in fright as she looked over the balcony at the gruesome figure of her father below. I felt her take my hand gently and as I looked into her eyes I knew she judged me not for what had just fatefully transpired. Embracing Lucielle close I realized I held close to the girl I had loved without fully realizing it since I was but a young boy of four summers old. I could smell the scent of lilacs upon her hair as I breathed in slowly catching my breath and as my vision began to clear once again I looked at her fully and was stricken breathless at her beauty. More so than usual for this day I saw her completely shining as if an angel herself inhabited this noble girl who had but won my heart. In those few moments in each other's eyes I knew we had read into each other's hearts and found the answers to all we had been seeking since we were young together."Together" I whispered grasping her delicate hand walking her towards her rooms to pack what little we could before the hunt for us began by those of the bloodthirsty depraved noble houses and those few lost souls with whom they employed to do their nefarious deeds.
