Okay, so just to clarify, this chapter is Mischa after he leaves Noel's house!!
(Mischa's POV)

...

As Mischa walked out the gate, he immediately missed being in Noel's room. It was so cozy and warm, very different from his cold basement room in his new parent's house. and for some reason, every time he talked to Noel, he immediately felt 10 times better than he was before. But now he had to go home. Home to his cold basement room, where he slept on an old mattress. He only even had a car because his "new parents", if you could call them that, hoped that it would make him be in the house less. He sat in the car again, thinking about if he should just sleep in the car tonight, he really didn't want to see his new dad again. Be yelled at again. He started driving home, hoping his new mom had made some dinner for him that would be standing on the staircase if so. He hesitated before walking out of the car when he arrived.

He walked in, hoping no one would notice him, but his new dad was standing right there, with his arm around his new mom, that began crying the second he walked through the front door. His new dad immediately started yelling at him about how he should go to his room and how he was the worst thing that ever happened to them, and that he had ruined their dream of a perfect family. The same as always, except this time, he didn't bother fighting back. He ran down the stairs to the basement and into his bedroom, trying to hold his tears in the best he could. Real men dont cry, Mischa knew that. his mom taught him that when he was very little. His mom.

He missed her so much. Every day. He thought about when he still lived in Ukraine alot. His mother's food that always tasted fantastic, he should've treasured it while he still had it. He wondered if she was still alive out there, waiting for him to come back one day. If she had miraculously healed from the uranium poisoning. He always thought it was kind of ironic in a way, having a mother that's dying of uranium poisoning, only to end up in a small town literally called Uranium. It was like the universe wanted to make fun of him. He wanted to go to Ukraine as soon as possible, the second he was done with that high school bullshit. He would go back to Ukraine and find his mother.

He tried, he really did, but without Mischa noticing, a tear had fallen down his cheek. He had failed his mother. Good Ukrainian men only have two emotions. Rage and passion. He remembered the last time he cried...

It was his first day at this horrible house. He was already heartbroken, trying not to break down thinking about his mother, and when he arrived, the first thing the father and mother were was confused. Then they yelled. They yelled and yelled and yelled. Sometimes the mother would start weeping, and then there were hours of waiting, while he watched his new parents calling the adoption agency and yelling at them. When they were done, his new dad threw him into the basement room, along With an old mattress and a plate of spaghetti. He spent the rest of the evening crying himself to sleep. They kept him in the basement room for two months before he got to go to school, and that was the worst two months of his life. His new parents only gave him one meal a day, and he wasn't allowed to go outside of the house, so he had to sneak up to the kitchen and steal extra food when his parents weren't home. He also didn't even have a blanket for the first week. He slept on the mattress without anything before he had to take one from the couch and try to make sure they didn't notice. He truly believed he would never experience anything worse in his life.

In the two months he was down there he also started working on his YouTube rap career. He snuck out of the house one day to finally get some fresh air, and found some used dj equipment on the street, which he immediately took home to his basement room. He had always liked singing as a kid, and he was a huge Eminem fan when he was tiny. He remembered his mom showing him an old video of him as a six year old trying to rap along to one of his songs. He found a YouTube rap community, and started posting rap music on his youtube account. It didn't get alot of likes, but his buddies online always said it was good. Mischa truly believed he would've given up if it wasn't for them. Especially because of what happened before that.

Food wasn't the only thing he stole from his new parents. Once when he was looking around the kitchen, he found their liquor cabinet, and he took some things. He got completely addicted, stealing it from his parents more and more often. He relied on it to get him through his day. He still did. Sometimes he would get too sad thinking of Ukraine or his new parents, and he would sneak up and steal some again. He did it again last night. He was sure Noel noticed the smell from him this morning. He had gotten too sad about his mother, and he wasn't gonna let himself cry, not when his mothers soul was there. But now he was crying again, and he didn't want to go to the liquor cabinet.

As he cried, he wondered what Noel was doing right now. Ever since he met him, every pattern of thought he had, ended up coming back to him. Mischa thought he was one of the coolest people he'd ever met. He liked songs about brutal murder, maybe he would watch Saw 5 with him some time? He liked some weird but very interesting old french movies, that Mischa, to his own surprise, kind of liked. He also loved the way he styled his hair, and he thought it was cute how he would always pick at his nail polish when he was nervous. He hadn't really thought about this with any of the other friends he's had. Noel must be really special.

As his tears dried, he could hear his new parents argue in the room above him, the kitchen. He for sure wasn't getting into the liquor cabinet tonight. He wanted them to shut up. He at least didn't wanna hear it. He plugged his headphones in, about to play some Macklemore before he changed his mind, he searched "Chicago", and clicked on the one Noel had showed him today. He listened, and it made him more calm. He tried to fall asleep, still faintly hearing the sounds of screaming and crying from the kitchen, when he got a notification. "You have been added to: the Saint cassion choir group chat!"
