Ive noticed Cole being alot more tired recently, its kinda like.. he isn't here and it's honestly getting concerning, I never knew Cole as the type to sleep in or take many naps but.. alas
I stopped my thoughts as i gazed into the pantry
Cake mix, Chocolate and Coffee flavor
Maybe this is what he'll need, I smiled before grabbing the mix
Eggs; check, olive oil; check everything check
I grabbed a large bowl and placed in the mix, I cracked the eggs in a separate bowl making sure no shells get into the eggs and dumped them into the mix. I grabbed a 1/4 cup and poured in the olive oil and did the same with a 2 cup for the water, i mixed rapidly until it was purely liquid aka 6 minutes
I sprinkled in some coffee grounds cause he needs it, Desperately. I place the cake in a pan and put it in the oven for 14 minutes, now the waiting game

I was scribbling a note down As i heard the oven go off and rush out my room into the kitchen. I open the oven and grab the cake pan
"OWCH" i shouted
I nearly threw the cake pan ontop of stove while i fanned my hands putting them under cool water
"Jay!?" I heard Cole shout as he ran into the kitchen
"You alright?" Cole said worriedly
"Peachy" i smiled painfully, Cole beckoned me to show him my hand. I obliged showing him my somewhat burnt and red fingers, He kissed them lightly
"Go get Zane, Im sure he can help with the burns" Cole said as he kissed my forehead
"I need to finish what i was doing, I can go to Zane later" I rebutted
"Im sure whatever you were doing could wait" He said softly kneeling down abit to get to my hight
I blew on his nose in annoyance as he chuckled
"Aright but seriously, Get your ass to Zane" he said slightly sternly
I rolled my eyes and started walking to the med bay
Coles pov
What was this idiot doing? I thought fondly as i looked around
Cake? I went over to the stove as looked at the pan resting on it

I smiled at the messily colored in heart Jay never took anything slow, It might be due to his powers but who am i to say
I placed the note down as i walked to the medbay
I saw Jay in there with Zane wrapped bandages around his fingers and slightly blasting ice on them to soothe them
Zane noticed me and nodded "He should be okay" as he placed down the bandage and left
"Cake huh?" I asked smoothly
Jay looked down looking ashamed and embarrassed
"Hey, Its alright" i said fondly as i hugged him kissing his lips, He wrapped his hands around my waist as we melted into it
We broke away "Love you hun" i hummed "Love you to" Jay said, I blew on his face as he grunted playfully in annoyance
"Pay back" i said as i ruffled his hair
"Zane said i should sleep so imma go do that.." Jay trailed off as remembrance flashed in his eyes "The cake!" He shouted
"Ill finish it" i said softly as i carefully held his hands in mine, Jay pouted in annoyance
I kissed him "Love you!" I shouted at Jay as he left the room, He smiled fondly as he left
Now to get to that cake, My stomach grumbled as i went to the kitchen
