Castiel Moments: Cas Recieves Hugs

3rd Person POV:

As Dean and Sam are discussing things, Castiel walks through the door.

"Ready?" Dean loudly whispers and chuckles to Sam.

Both guys walk up to Cas, who is confused the way it is because he heard Dean attempting to whisper.

"What are you guys doing?" Cas asks in his monotone voice.

Both Sam and Dean wrap their arms around Castiel like they just found their stuffed animal after a few years of it being lost. This hug lasts for a few seconds.

They step back after the hug and Cas is unknowingly smiling.

"Why did you guys do that?" Cas asks with a big smile on his face.

"It's to make you feel good, right Sam?" Dean nudges Sam with his elbow.

"Yeah Cas, you've been through a lot and-and we thought you could use it" Sam explains.

Cas is a little embarrassed because hugs aren't all that familiar in his life as an Angel. So, he thanks them and quickly explains he has to go find something for a case that they had previously solved already. This confuses the brothers because they already solved it.

Cas had already found himself somewhere else before they started questioning in scattered thinking.

"I have been through.. a lot I guess," he states aloud, "and that did make me feel happy."

Cas stands there contemplating what to do next, he can't just leave like that with an already solved case as an excuse to run. So, he decides to go back and apologize.

As he arrives back, they both immediately confront him.

"Cas! Where'd you skedaddle off to huh?" Dean says in his goofy tone.

"I actually didn't know how to respond so I came up with an easy excuse to leave, I apologize." Cas explains thoroughly.

"No need to explain, you needed to step out and that's okay." Sam says.

They all smile and before they leave, Cas says one more thing.

"I love you guys."
