[Boboiboy's Pov]On our way there, to dragonspine. Sucrose and I were force to decide on the right path. Now despite lumine and paimon giving me a brief tour, here's the thing, it was brief, and really, they only should me like a think the Eastern areas near the beaches like star snatch. Sure, Ive obviously seen dragonspine, I mean how couldn't I, the thing was MASSIVE, and its coldness I could felt from the winds breezing in its direction.
But thankfully, I knew where these two paths wind; the left, daduapa gorge, and the other, Springvale.
Sucrose informed me that the left lead to the true entrance, the other leads into an offshore path which a cliff was needed to climb inorder to get to the icy mountain.
I told her that these two paths, and the entire trip to albedo as a whole, would be obselate due to me being able to fly, but sucrose was quick to say "Oh! um. I-i think that wont be needed! A-and I honestly prefer just walking, makes me feel calmer." It was pretty obvious that she was nervous and scared, if the stuttering and the shaking legs wasn't telling enough.
But to be honest? I agreed, didn't want to force her into it, and plus, I preferred walking to begin with. Flying prevents me from truely absorbing the scenary, which isn't ideal if I want to get familiar with this world. Especially when up above, most of the ground is covered in dense trees.
Back with the path. We discuss on which to take. The true but arguably harder path? Or the safer, somewhat shorter but technically a detour?
"I think we should go right." Sucrose concluded.
"To springvale?" I asked and she nodded.
"Though the road towards dadaupa gorge is technically the correct path. However, It is still hilichurl territory, and with the recent increase in monster activity, risks have now doubled."
I raised a brow. "Wait, increase monster activity?"
"Yes. Just earlier this morning, monsters have been on a rise, Ive speculated that this might be an omen of sorts, of dvalin's return after you made him retreat."
Dvalin might be returning? That isn't good, he might be even stronger now, and he's definitely going after my neck. Man, I can't catch a break can't I? But that's the life I am willing to live, if i have to fight a wind dragon? So be it.
"So. Right, huh?" I asked, she nodded lightly. "Ok, let's head a move on! don't want to make albedo wait any longer.
"Preciously." She replied.
Agreeing, we took the right and went on. As we walk, Springvale scrolled into our view, if I were to describe it? It would be; Cozy, humble, honest and charming, the houses weren't that impressive compared to The ones in the city, though few and seperated by some roads and gardens, they had this fantastical aura around here, it reminded me of children book covers at the local library of the school back home.
However, what Ive also noticed.
"Is it just me, is there way more people then houses to live in?" I said. The small rural village was almost flooded with bustling activity, too many for what compasity was intended for.
Then sucrose replied. "That's because these are the people in the city, they are staying here until the clean up is done."
With her explanation, I begun to notice quite alot of familiar faces, ones more familiar then others. I can see members of the adventurers guild like Cyrus huddling up in a group circle, doing chit-chats and laughing. I can see Sara, still doing her work despite the lack of a proper store.
