When Visenya Velaryon was born paler than the winter snows barely six moons after the wedding of Rhaenyra and Laenor, the whispers started there. Bastard. No matter how hard Rhaenyra tried to claim she was Laenor's daughter, her resemblance to Daemo...
hey y'all!! It's been a minute. I started off with a mental health break. Now that my cross country move settled, my brain realized I still hadn't taken the time to mourn my grandma I lost back in February and months of repressed grieving exploded on me. I needed a mental health break from this slightly depressing story because I was too sucked in.and then I got pretty sick so that put me out even longer. thank you for ur patience.

"Kesā dōrī gīmigon dears, skorkydoso olvie Avy jorrāelan. Sīr kostilus gaomagon daor gūrogon ñuha vēzos jehikagon qrīdrughagon." *You'll never know dear how much I love you. So please don't take my sunshine away.
Maegor loved it, sleeping peacefully in her arms. He was all cleaned, freshly swaddled for comfort, and making himself comfortable on his mother. Aemond let Laenora lay on his chest, both of them resting before they had to present the children and their names.
Laenora.
The name brought Visenya to tears. The fact that Aemond willingly named his own daughter after her father was a sign of love she didn't know possible. It was a beautiful name for a little miracle. The little girl they almost lost.
"Are the eggs ready?" Visenya whispered.
Aemond nodded. "That's what I was doing before your labor started. They're in the nursery, the new room next to ours. I wanted their room as close as possible."
Visenya hadn't liked the idea at first. That's what the nanny is for, she had argued. But now that she had held and seen her children, she wanted to be there for everything. She refused a wetnurse and already successfully got them both to latch. It was the weirdest feeling in the world but it was also a bonding she couldn't explain. It also helped considering how painful and sore her breasts had gotten from the pressure.
"You're grandmother might yell when she arrives," Visenya hummed, kissing the top of her son's head. Both infants already had whisps of white hair on their tiny heads.
"She's probably on her way. It's been a handful of hours."
"At least she didn't make me walk moments after birth," Visenya mumbled. Despite her mother's many flaws, Alicent was no better. Rhaenyra didn't deserve that and after birthing twins, she almost felt bad for her mother on that day. "How is she?" Visenya asked Aemond.
"She's perfect," Aemond said in awe.
Just as Aemond predicted, Alicent knocked and entered the birthing chambers. "Are you ready for company?"
"Yes," Visenya smiled nervously.
"A boy and a girl," Alicent smiled. "Was the boy first?"
Visenya nodded. "He was."
"And what is the name of our future king?"
At this point, Otto, Cole, and some of their family had followed in. Visenya's nerves made her want to throw up but Aemond moved to stand next to her, rubbing her shoulder with his free hand. "His name is Maegor."
