Just as things appeared to be improving, an unanticipated incident occurred. A gang of local survivors set up an ambush for Alex and his family and attempted to kill them, but they were the ones who died for good. The drive to survive, however, comes at a hefty cost.
[ Time skip later ]
Now, Alex has found himself all alone, wandering within the shadows of death while seeking after the life of his uncle, Benjamin.
Alex : " * Sneaking through the brushes while holding the rifle * Find the herds then go back. That shouldn't be hard.... Just find the damn herds then go ba..... * Realizing * "
After he walked for a while, Alex realized something that might screw up the entire mission.
Alex : " ...... Hold on a second!.....How do these herbs look?..... and where can I find them in the first place? "
As ridiculous as it seems, Alex has forgotten to question Jonathan about how these plants appear and where they grow. Basically, he, for a while, has been advancing towards the unknown.
Alex : " .......... Goddamnit! "
Now, he has no other choice but to go back and ask him these questions.

Or maybe this time, he was a damn lucky bastard because he was carrying the answers in his bag all this time.
Alex : " * Picks up Jonathan's book * Maybe these plants are mentioned here. "
He was so lucky that Benjamin gave him Jonathan's book about the local plants that grow up here. Now, he can wish and see if the knowledge he needs are stored there.
Alex : " * Quickly flipping its pages * Come on! Come on! Come on! Please be here! Please be here!!! "
After a few pages, his gaze was drawn to what made him feel relieved.
