waking up to the sound of rain hitting the ground was lovely so you thought,as you slowly open your eyes you groan as you slowly feel the pain in your body.
you slowly look at your surroundings realizing you were in a hospital you sighed remembering what had happen before you pass out,but the only you can remember was how you saw the guy before passing out other than that it was all a blur.
you slowly sat up wincing in pain as your breath aches from the sting feeling of your wound,youd slowly look down at your body revealing that you only wore bandages making yourself deadpan as you cover yourself with the blanket you had woken up with.
a few minutes pass by as the clock ticking you can hear a door open,you turned your head to see a man in a uniform or some sort of making you tilt your head squinting your eyes at him he was holding onto a laundry basket as you can see with your eyes.
he soon get closer making you slightly uneasy which he took notice of
"ah your awake"
he said gently as he towers over you with a sweet smile,you can sense that he means no harm but you kept covering yourself with the blanket feeling embarrassed,he took notice chuckling
"sorry for taking your clothes miss..,i had to clean them as they are dirty"
he chuckled as he put the laundry basket he hand next to the bed
"since its being dried,i brought you some spare clothing"
he smiled as he took a few clothes from the laundry basket which he soon puts on the bed making you look at it,it was a sweater with a sweatpants.
he chuckled at your reaction making you look at him tilting your head
"sorry we dont have much spare clothes.."
he sweat drop as he scratch his cheek you nodded looking down at the clothes before looking up at him,you tried to move your hand but it only cause pain as you hissed by the sting pain making the man perk up frowning.
"im guessing youre still in pain from moving"
his word makes you nod as you shyly coughed a little making him blushed lightly chuckling
'this should be normal,its my job after all'
he thought in his head he he took a deep breath slowly removing the blanket off of you as he slowly put the clothes on you as he tried to be gentle as possible,as he finally put the clothes on he smiled as he now took the sweatpants and slowly slid it on you.
you felt warm as he finally finished putting the clothes on making you place a soft smile nodding your head at the man,before you quickly wipe that soft smile off of you face once your head start acting up.
putting your hand slowly at your head you closed your eyes as you swallow the lump on your throat,making the mans eyes wide as he pull a bottle of medicine out of his pocket popping the lid open before taking one and taking a bottle of water from underneath the bed then giving it to you.
you took it putting the pill on your tongue before opening the bottle and chugging half of the water,youd let out a sigh of relief as the pain slowly goes away making the man sigh in relief too.
"well since your awake...,do you mind telling me your name?"
the man that helped you asked,which you slowly open your mouth
"[reader]"
you said with a raspy tone as you coughed,he smiled nodding his head
"im [OPERATIVE] benevolent"
he grinned as he held his hand out for you to shake,you took it gracefully shaking it before breaking the hand contact.
"well someone will be meeting you soon"
he said smiling pityfully,you tilted your head why the sound of his tone wasnt that cheerful like the other tone he had while he was with her.
"who is this person wanting to meet me?"
you asked formally,which made him chuckle
"the guy who took you here while you were passed out"
oh that was right,the guy you saw before passing out mustve been the man who brought you here to the hospital
"oh,i should be thanking him.."
you muttered but can be still heard by the man standing next to you
"just a warning his emotion are very..well...unpredictable"
he hummed as he sweat drop making you raise an eye brow at him
"well if you say so...,where did you put my armor?"
you asked looking at him making him point down at a basket with your now clean armor
"d-did you clean it?"
you asked looking up at him once more,he smiled nodding his head
"thats very nice of you,thank you"
you smiled at him lowering your head thanking him,he blushed by how you bowed your head at him he shook his head as he put a hand on the back of his neck his gaze on the floor.
"t-theres no need to be thanking me miss.[reader]"
he smiled looking at you with a pink-ish blush making you giggle
"but i have to,youve help me so much"
you hummed smiling at him
"you should be thanking the man who took you here"
he kept his hand on his neck blushing more at your cute giggle as he let an 'ahem' out snapping himself to be normal.
you nodded smiling at him,you both then heard a knock from the door seeing a man with a steampunk hat with a frown on his face making benevolent look at the door before giving you a wave which you waved back at him as you know that he wont be here once the man got inside.
as benevolent open the door the orange vest man looked at you with a small flush of orange-ish blush on his face making you smile nervously at him giving him a wave.
he would get in closing the door as he stand next to you.
"you must be the guy who help me"
you smile up at him
"y-yes,it was me"
He hummed as he blushed looking away from your gaze,you chuckled nodding he looked at the bed you were resting in and look back up at you
"i-ive brought you a gift"
he said as he sat on the edge of the bed with a small box on his hand,he put the box on your lap and waited for you to open it you look at the box being wrapped by a grey wrapper and an orange bow being placed on top opening the box you can see a white rose and a walkie talkie next to each other carefully picking the walkie talkie you looked at him with a smile.
"thank you-"
you cut yourself short not knowing his name
"unpredictable day"
he continued your cut off thanks with a small smile before quickly wiping it away with a frown and a blush
"s-since your still recovering,i just want to make sure your alright..,i-its not like i care or anything"
he huffed at the last sentence he made,making you nod with no question benevolent was right being him unpredictable with his emotion and action which make you curious about him.
"well if you say so"
you hummed picking the white rose and putting it on the half empty bottle you drank for the medicine benevolent gave you,he soon get up and look at you before looking at the clock widening his eyes
"fuck...i have to go"
he mumble to you before going to the door and shouting a 'call me when its necessary',making you giggle at his behavior.
looking up at the ceiling dumbfounded by what just had happen,looking down at the now empty gift box you close the lid and put down on the floor before you heard another creak from the door looking up to see two operative with blue and brown vest looking at you curiously.
