"i do remember that party. It was wild afterall" i said. Shub smiled. He's one of a gem. In whatever you see. As in a bestfriend, cricketer, brother.... Everything. After all this happened, he's the one who has kept me cheerful
"btw ishu your bhabhi had called me when you were busy remembering that flashback..... She is demanding me at home" he said. I chuckled.
"so you finally accepted that jahnavi is my bhabhi?" i asked teasingly.
"well there is nothing to accept. Jaan is my girlfriend and soon to be wife so......" he shrugged.
"you should go. Thanks for stopping by." i said. He put his hand on my shoulder. "everything will turn out fine at the end" he said reassuringly.
I nodded. No matter what he says but it can't change the fact that chia loves someone other than me and she is happy with him. I can't intrude her perfect life for my selfishness.
I want her to happy. And she probably is. I bid bye to shub. And laid down on my bed. My eyes closed and sleep took over me.
My sleep broke due to a phone call. I slightly opened my eyes and saw it was bhabhi. Why was she calling me? I mean she is my friend cum sister.
I picked up the call.
"ishan. Come to the international airport right now." a hasty voice came across from the phone.
"what happened bhabhi? Why are you sounding so worried? Why do i have to come at the airport?" i said worried.
"its shriya. She needs you" was all she said. What happened to her? Is she going somewhere?
My mind was saying no but my heart was saying yes. And as always, my heart won.
"I'll be there" i said hanging up. I quickly drived there. I was searching for her.....running around like crazy
Noone's pov:-
Ishan was running here to there searching for shriya. He was hella worried.
He had almost given up but when he was bout to leave, he saw a girl in a hoodie, that was sat down. That hood....it was familiar . He gave that to, shriya.
He ran upto her and saw she was crying bent down on her knees.
"shriya... Why are you crying?" ishan asked. She caught up attention to him.
"kishmish!" she broke down again. She stood up and hugged him tightly.
"what happened shriya?" ishan asked breaking the hug.
"abhishek broke up with me. He said i am not his worth. He said he doesn't love me and he left for london. For forever" she said between sobs.
Ishan said nothing but hugged her. He kept telling her sweet fake words to console her.
"why are you here ishan? You weren't supposed to be here" shriya said between the hug.
"i came here for you chia" he rested his head on her shoulder. (btw they were now sitting on a bench)
"i-i a-am so sorry ishu" shriya said closing her eyes. She totally needed that hug. And ishan melted on the words.
He sighed and said.... "its ok chia. Lets not talk about that rn" he said while she nodded.
They both were silent. Then ishan offered to drop her home. And she agreed without even hesitating.
They were half way home. When she said, "ishan, please stop the car somewhere" she choked on her voice. Ishan nodded. After 10 mins he stopped the car. They sat on the bonnet of the car. It was sunset.
They both were pretty silent until ishan heard soft sobs on his other side. He looked at her.
"don't cry chia. Ik its hard. I've been there." ishan slowly spoke.
Shriya kept her head on his shoulder. Intertwining her hand in his.
"i fucking messed up ishan. I hurted you for him. I rejected you for him. I lost my fucking bestfriend because of him. I was so blindly in love with abhishek. But you, even after being hurt..... Came for me. To console me. You are the best. I don't deserve you.I am sorry ishu" she said before breaking down again.
Ishan just shook his head and wiped her tears. "you never lost your bestfriend chia. Whatever happened was in the past. I loved you and will love you always. But i want to see you happy. We can stay as friends" ishan said.
Shriya felt something weird. A feeling of being hurt and happy at the same time. She grabbed him by the collar and kissed him. Ishan was taken aback. And shocked. Soon shriya parted away as he didn't kiss her back.
"I-i am s-so sorry..... Hopefully you will forgive me" she said as he nodded.
"there is nothing to be sorry about chia" he said. Silence again crept. It was really awkward between them. Which was unusual.
4 days later....
Shriya went to ishan's house. He opened the door. He found a tired shriya who had baggy clothes on and dark circles.
"shriya? Why are you here?" he asked.
"you won't believe it but this fucking whole 4 days all i could think about was you mahnn." she rubbed her eyes as if she didn't slept from ages.
"shriya i don't understand...ok well come inside." ishan said and made her sit on couch. "you need water? Wait" as he was going, shriya grabbed his hand and made him sit.
"yaar i didn't came all the way to your house just for drinking water. Kishmish, in this VeRy LoNg period of time i realised how much of an idiot i was that i rejected you. And how i have always been in love with you. Thats why abhishek broke up with me. The fate brought us together again ishu. And theres no denying now that i love you. Genuinely. That kiss was not by mistake but i longed,craved it. Just that stupid me decided to hurt you and myself in the process of realizing..... " shriya finally finished whereas ishan was just dumbstruck.
5 mins passed and both were staring each other.
"what. Are you gonna stare me forever? Not that i mind. But i need my answer." shriya said. Ishan still didn't spoke up. Shriya thought she had lose her chance of getting back ishan.
"ok sorry i am going back at my home. I shouldn't have expected you to forgive me so easily. Just know that ilysm and will forever be your bestfriend." she stood up and started moving but this time ishan grabbed her hand and made her sit.
"you are a antique piece honestly." he said smiling. An genuine smile after so long. He pulled her into the most real loving hug ever.
"so you forgive me?" shriya asked.
"you idiot i love you!" ishan laughed. Shriya was lost in his laugh and cuteness. She didn't realise when she went upclose and kissed him. And this time he kissed her back.
"you have a lot of desperation chia" ishan smirked. She blushed and hitted him playfully.
"are we boyfriend and girlfriend now?" ishan asked. "obvio you dumbo" shriya said as they both laughed.
"finally they are together. Now ishan would concentrate on his gameplay too." shubman said, who was this whole time standing by the windows with his wife.
"they have one unique of a lovestory" jahnavi aka shub's wife said laughing quietly.
And thats how their lovestory began.
