Let It Be Me

For Lt. Commander David William Beck, there was only one young woman that he set his eyes upon and that was Katherine Grace Kelly.

Lt. Commander David William Beck is the great-grandson of Lord Charles Andrew Howard Senior through his youngest son, Lord Edwin William Howard and his daughter, Lady Eliza Katherine Howard who married Lord William David Beck, Viscount of Elmhurst Estate.

Lord David William Beck was not born with a fancy title and he didn't come with property but he had a heart of gold.

Lord David William Beck was a self made man and he had earned his medical degree from Star-Fleet Academy and he would be promoted to the rank of Lt. Commander on Star Base 12 and he would be appointed to become The senior medical officer on Star-Base 12.

Lord David William Beck wasn't even born into a gentry family but a rather ordinary family and the men in The Beck family were considered some of the most handsome men on Star Base 12.

Lord Edward David Christopher Beck would marry Lady Dorothy Devereux, the sister of the 2nd Earl of Essex Territory and when his son, Lord Richard failed to have children, it would revert back to Lord Edward daughter who had married Lady Dorothy but Lord Edward had a brother, Lord Richard and he did have son, Lord Walter, and he left a daughter, Lady Penelope who would marry Lord Edwin William Howard and they would have a single daughter, Lady Eliza Katherine who marry Lord William David Beck and they would have Lord David William Beck in 2252.

When Lady Penelope inherited Essex Territory she didn't convey the title of Duke-Consort to her husband, Lord Edwin William Howard, but rather her grandson, Lord David William Beck, as their daughter had died in 2258.

Lord David William Beck at the age of five years old lived with his paternal grandaunt, Lady Charlotte Augusta until 2269, and in 2270 he enlisted in Star-Fleet Academy and in 2274, he graduated from Star -Fleet Academy with the rank of Lt. Commander.

Katherine Grace Kelly gives Lord David William Beck the right to visit and it is Lord Richard William Carey who sees him safely to Madame's Boarding House and he leads the Beck carriage to Madame's Boarding House.

Lord David William Beck is accompanied by Lord Richard William Carey and Katherine is with Karissa and Susan.

Lord David William Beck bows to the ladies and they rise and curtsy to him and Lord David William Beck walks over to where Katherine is sitting and he tells her " Thank you for seeing me."

"You are welcome." Katherine answers, "Karissa and Susan told me I should see you."

"I am grateful to them both.' Lord Richard William states.

"We should really go out in the garden. Where we can talk to each other." Katherine tells Lord David William Beck.

Lord David William Beck walks over and offers Katherine his arm and she takes it reluctantly and they walk out into the garden and Katherine tells Lord David William politely " I am only 18 years old and you are only 22 years old. I am not ready to marry yet. "

"I want to go to college and study drama, acting, and music." Katherine tells Lord David William Beck.

"Your life was not disrupted by World War Three and I know that you lost your dear mother when you were only five years old, but at least a grandaunt that wanted you." Katherine tells him

"When I was 12 years old I lost both my father and mother and was sent to an orphanage and several months later I was placed on board The USS Republic and sent away." Katherine explains.

"I don't understand why any of you haven't married yet. What were you waiting for us to arrive so you could grab us?" Katherine asks.

Lord David William looks at Katherine and he tells her " I suppose we were as Lord Andrew Charles Howard is the leader of the pack."

"Oh! Wait until Karissa and Susan. They won't be too happy with it now." Katherine tells Lord David William Beck.

"I am very flattered that you want me, but I can only offer you platonic friendship right now as it might interfere with my plans to attend the University." Katherine explains.

"May I see you again?" Lord David William asks.

"Please send me a word with Lord Carey if you wish to visit me again and at that time I will give him my answer." Katherine tells Lord David William Beck.

Lord David William Beck walks Katherine back into Madame's Drawing room " Karissa and Susan I think you should know that Lord Andrew Charles masterminded this." Katherine tells them.

"Who else would have masterminded such a plan? " Susan states, " The Two musketeers rather than the three musketeers."

"Stupid and Stupider." Karissa answers.

"Katherine. Lord David William has possibilities and you should keep an open mind as "Lord Stupid and Lord Stupider don't have a future but Lord David William has a future." Karissa tells her.

"I will keep an open mind Karissa and Susan, but I won't let anyone divert me from attending the University." Katherine tells them.

Lord David William leaves Lord Richard William Carey and Lord Richard William sees him back at the Border of Bedford and Essex Territories.
